The event is a true celebration of the rich culture and heritage of the area, starting here in the magical setting of St James’s Church, Piccadilly. But it is also about much more than this. Raising vital funds for a very special charity, we are delighted to play our part in supporting Rays of Sunshine, which works tirelessly to make a difference to young children contending with serious illnesses. In many ways we see the Fayre of St James’s as the icing on the cake at the end of an extremely busy and successful year for us in St James’s. Our £500m investment vision for the area continues to gather momentum, with a strong development pipeline that will see us sensitively enhancing the area, protecting its rich architectural and cultural identity whilst looking ahead to an exciting future. The most visible of these is our landmark scheme, St James’s Market, being delivered in partnership with Oxford Group Properties. Covering two blocks situated between Regent Street St James’s and Haymarket, and creating over half an acre of public realm between the two streets, the development will bring about a marked change to this once neglected part of the West End when it launches in spring 2016. In addition to the provision of world class office space, we have also welcomed the arrival of some world class retailers including N.Peal, Osprey, Bespoke Cycling, Grosvenor Shirts, Cheaney Shoes and La Martina. St James’s continues to build on its reputation as a wonderful place to dine with the arrival of Bilbao Berria and Café Murano, with Chutney Mary, Milos and Jamie Oliver’s Barbecoa also set to open in 2015.
