AVATAR 2 is an upcoming
American epic science fiction film directed, produced, and co-written by James Cameron, and the first of four planned sequels to his film Avatar (2009). Many of the original cast members are expected to return. Cameron, who had stated in 2006 that he would like to make sequels to Avatar if it were successful, announced the first two in 2010 following the widespread success of the first film, with Avatar 2 aiming for a 2014 release. However, the subsequent addition of two more sequels, and the necessity to develop new technology in order to film performance capture scenes underwater, a feat never accomplished before in motion capture history, led to significant delays to allow the crew more time to work on the writing, pre-production, and visual effects; it is currently planned for a release on December 18, 2020, exactly eleven years after the American release of the first film.
household known novel of a Chinese ancient fantasy classic, “The Investiture of the Gods,” a 16th-century Chinese novel written by Xu Zhonglin during the Ming Dynasty (1368–1644). It combines elements of history, folklore, mythology, legends and fantasy to retell the overthrow of King Zhou, the last ruler of the Shang Dynasty, by Ji Fa, who would establish the Zhou Dynasty in its place. The story integrates oral and written tales of many Chinese mythological figures who are involved in the war as well. The director, Wuershan, said he will make this grandiose epic to fill the blank in the Chinese mythological epic film genre, “China has a brilliant civilization and stories, we need to use the high quality films to promote our culture.” The film will also boast an international cast and crew.
AMBIANCÉ
will be released on December 31, 2020; the Swedish artist Anders Weberg end his 20 plus years relation with the moving image as a means of creative expression. After more than 300 films, he puts an end with the premiere of what will be a very long film. Ambiancé is 720 hours long (30 days) and will be shown in its full length on a single occasion syncronised in all the continents of the world and then destroyed. There will always be longer films, and there is currently, but this one will be the longest film made that doesn’t exist. This will be Weberg’s last film. As a small tease, until the premiere in 2020, shorter teaser/trailers will be presented at different occasions.
RANNBHOOMI is,”a warrior film,
which showcases love, relationships, sacrifices, revenge, and heroism,” says director and filmmaker Shashank Khaitan. The producer, Karan Johar, will work hand-in-hand with his Student of the Year actor, Varun Dhawan. The actor said in a statement about Johar, “Our association has always been successful and magical, and we decided to take our alliance further and create a mammoth spectacle. Dharma is home for the both of us, and what better team than this to collaborate on a Diwali celebration? Rannbhoomi is an ambitious film with a beating heart.” The Bollywood film is bound to impress.
The Space Olympics As Sydney, AU grows in population, so does the amount of glass buildings; the architecture sets the perfect scene for hosting the futuristic event, COSPAR 2020, dubbed, “The Space Olympics,” at the ultra-contemporary convention center.

EAT Fratelli Paradiso This all-day Italian eatery is so charming, the owners had to export a branch to Tokyo. The Potts Point original presents a good case for world expansion: there’s an enticing chalkboard menu, constant soundtrack of Italian dialogue, trays of baked goods, a wine list highlighting local champions and the best of the boot, plus – most importantly – cheery waiters delivering Bolognese lasagnetta, scampi spaghetti and other carby hits.
DANCE Jam If you ask anyone who lives there, Bondi Junction is the last place you’d expect to have decent clubs in this city. Known more for its mega-mall than dancefloors, the suburb has had a renaissance since the lockouts, and Jam Gallery has become to venue of choice for the hot young kids. It’s also where festivals usually roll through for after parties, so big-name rappers and DJs are not an uncommon sight – and neither are the lines at the door. EXPLORE Bondi Icebergs Pool It’s the most photographed ocean pool in Australia – at Sydney’s most famous beach. The 50-metre saltwater pool a popular spot for sunbathers and a bottleneck spot on the Bondi to Coogee walk. The baths have been a landmark of Bondi for 100 years. For those who just want a slice of the active lifestyle, it’s only $7 for casual entry – giving you access to the pool, the sauna and the gym.

Cape Town, ZA is known for outdoor exploration and the architecture reflects this. However, by 2020, many environmental issues will become increasingly problematic for residents and visitors, making people aware of environmental issues and how they impact cities like Cape Town.
Cape Town is a coastal city in South Africa and the second most populous city in the country after Johannesburg. The city the known for its harbor, nature, landmarks, and multiculturalism; it plays a major role in being a destination for immigrants and expatriates. English is the first language of Cape Town after being tossed between Dutch and English ownership for so long; after being establish in 1652 after Jan van Riebeeck and then developed by the Dutch East India Company (VOC), it is the oldest urban city in South Africa. The region is made up of an extensive coastline, mountain ranges, coastal plains, inland valleys, and semi-desert fringes. The climate is a warm Mediterranean one with dry Summer and wet Winters. The Winter in Cape Town takes place when Summer does in the United States and has a low of 47F (8.5C), while the Summer has a high of 79F (26C). Since the temperature tends to be moderate, people feel encouraged to spend a lot of their time outside in nature.
The region is made up of an extensive coastline, mountain ranges, coastal plains, inland valleys, and semi-desert fringes. Cape Town is also known for its biodiversity; it boasts one of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world due, in part, to the several different soil types and micro-climates. For example, in Cape Town’s famous Table Mountain alone, 2,200 species of plants are said to exist.

will need to go to allocated taps for water. While there are many environmental problems in Cape Town, the people that reside and visit there adore the wildlife. One of the best reflections of wildlife appreciate is through the architecture. In order for people to
“Inspired by the trees on the estate,
the client requested a cabin-like, one bedroom hideaway resembling a tree house…The building becomes a vertically arranged ‘clearing in the forest’…All materials are left untreated, and will express the passing of time as they weather naturally with the surrounding trees.” contributing to these environmental issues. Furthermore, Cape Town is experiencing a water crisis as of 2018, following the drought that began in 2015; it is said to be the worst one in the past hundred years. Residents have to follow strict guidelines and, supposedly, by 2020 water taps will be turned off and people
feel like they are involved in nature, structures are often wood and glass based. A typical style is to have a glass building with wooden facades for more privacy. That way residents can see nature, be in nature, but still feel secure. Buildings of all kinds have this style too; hotels, private homes, and corporate buildings utilize it. For example, The Spa House
hotel, built by Metropolis Design, incorporates wood and glass perfectly into a mountain range and is surrounded by water. The House Paarman Tree, a private residence built by Malan Voster Architecture Interior Design, is another structure that places wood and glass in wildlife for beautiful scenery. Architecture magazine writes, “Inspired by the trees on the estate, the client requested a cabin-like, one bedroom hideaway resembling a tree house… The building becomes a vertically arranged ‘clearing in the forest’…All materials are left untreated, and will express the passing of time as they weather naturally with the surrounding trees” The vertical facades and moveable glass allow the residents to be fully submerged in nature. Not only does the façade style make an appearance outside, but inside as well. For example, an unnamed private residence photographed by Jan Verboom is
accented with horizontal facades. The wood creates a differentiation from room to room. With the growing environmental issues and architecture that make up Cape Town, the trend Façade is set to hit in 2020. Eco-minded textiles like bamboo, nature fibers, shear materials, and even wood will become popular. Techniques like laser cutting will be used in all clothing pieces and accessories to mimic the wooden facades on buildings and shear fibers will imitate glass. The color palette will consist of natural shades such as brown, green, blue, beige, and muddy greys. Patterns that recede into wildlife such as forms of camouflage and wood patterns will help play on the way Cape Town architecture blends into nature.

LISTEN Mabu Vinyl
APPRECIATE Woodstock
If you’re familiar with Academy-Award winning documentary Searching for Sugar Man, you’ll know that Mabu Vinyl was at the centre of that film. A shop with a story like no other, Mabu is the sort of place that’ll appeal to vinyl enthusiasts and film buffs alike.Aside from the awesome stock of vinyl, CDs, DVDs, cassettes and comic books, the main thing you need to know about Mabu is that it’s basically a movie artifact. A visit here is a bit like going to the Harry Potter Studios or doing a film location tour except without the gimmicks and loads of annoying tourists for company.
Over the decades, Woodstock fell into a state of disrepair and became overrun with crime and drugs, with the buildings sustaining major decay and neglect. However, Woodstock’s story has taken a positive turn and the area is in the midst of a revival, attempting to repair itself with art, food and culture and it is now a host to some of the best restaurants in the city! Woodstock has also become the art Mecca of Cape Town, drawing international artists from around the world to come paint its walls and has earned the title of Cape Town Innovation hub.
SHOP A Store
STAY Pod Boutique Hotel
A relatively new addition to lower Kloof Street, A Store (how cool is the meta name?) stocks the latest sneakers, clothes by local brands including Sol-Sol and a range of coffee table, art and photography books and magazines. The minimalist layout of the store gives the place a modern feel and you can expect some of the best tunes to be playing as you browse around.
Overlooking Camp Bay’s main beach, the rectilinear architecture of POD is gaining currency along the Atlantic Seaboard. With only 15 rooms, glass walls, sleek open-plan interiors and chic accessories, POD oozes style, sophistication and design with a big D. It’s terribly relaxed too, the reason why it appeals to an international, design-savvy crowd. This ultra-hip boutique hotel has a variety of rooms. Some come with private plunge pools, rain showers, patios or balconies, and all share the glory of mountain and sea views. The rooms and suites are sanctuaries of calm, with raised, wooden, pod-like structures containing a super comfortable bed.
