UPC plans entertainment throughout the year for the campus. UPC has several traditional events that they put on each year. These events are Back to School Bash, Bingo for Books, and Midnight Breakfast. In addition to these events, the students who are a part of UPC get to decide what other entertainment they would like to bring to campus each semester. UPC usually holds an event per week. They host everything from concerts, to movies on the quad, to dance parties, to comedians. UPC events are free for students. Applications to be a part of UPC are available at the start of the fall and spring semesters.

INTERCULTURAL LIFE The Minority Student Union (MSU) is an organization open to all minority students whether they are African-American or Hispanic, Jewish or Muslim or a member of the LGBTQ community. The organization serves as a communication link between the underrepresented populations on our campus and University administrators. The MSU coordinates programs that educate, empower and inspire the campus community.
College Night is the most honored and beloved tradition at UM. As part of the annual Homecoming traditions, students declare allegiance to either Gold or Purple (UM’s school colors), and compete in athletic events, spirit competitions, and prepare original musical productions.
Everything must be created by current students: scripts, music, lyrics, costumes, choreography, sets, and direction. The camaraderie necessary to produce a magnificent piece of art with limited time and limited resources builds strong friendships. Students develop production and time management skills that challenge them in a way the classroom experience cannot match.

INTRAMURAL SPORTS As a part of the college experience, the Student Life Office provides students with an opportunity to participate in intramural sports. Through the spirit of friendly competition, students gather and play in a variety of recreational sports throughout the fall and spring semesters. Students participate on teams sponsored by a campus organization or they can form their own team with a group of friends. All referees and scorekeepers are also students, which creates opportunities for student employment.
