HALLOZEEN

culture is not a costume!!
this year, please avoid dressing like these examples!
Blackface was created for white producers to profit off of replicating oppressive stereotypes.
Stereotypes are misrepresentative and outdated.
There is history.
This halloween, feel free to present whatever you feel comfortable in!
make your costume punny!

Fun Fact ABOUT WITCHES In Europe in the Middle Ages, bread was made with rye. Often, rye hosted a fungus that, in small doses, had hallucinatory effects. People who wanted to indulge in recreational hallucinations began mixing this fungus with other things (probably in a cauldron) to make a green balm called “witch’s brews.” When it was ingested, it made you sick. But if you absorbed it through your armpits or genitals, you would avoid the sickness and feel the psychedelics. So, they applied it to a broomstick and masturbated with the balm to hallucinate. That’s why witches are often depicted with brooms!
