Lasalle Residence Create a home for the Lasalle couple, Andre and Iris, located in Wayzata, MN. Needs to be handicapped accessible for Aisha, Andre’s mother, that will be staying with the family temporarily. Since the client has an interest in art, you’ll need to include their collection within the house. Must chose a historic background to base your house around.

2

RESIDENTIAL Lasalle Residence Concept statement: For the homeowners, I wanted to create a space adequate for the amount of hosting they do. In order to do this, I created open spaces throughout the house, that allows for easy entertaining. The color scheme incorporates neutral walls to keep distractions from their art collection minimal. To tie in the Indian inspiration, I used arches through out the space to define rooms as well as keeping them open. I also decided to use patterns and rich materials in color to capture the colors you may observe while in India.

Concept statement: Create an atmosphere that is welcoming to those who are willing to standout from the crowd. We will do this by creating a space that brings the customers themselves into the change of perspectives. The space is to be designed with the different types of light, translucent materials, and geometric shapes that guide the clients througout the active space. The different types of reflective textures will display the products in numerous perspectives, changing the manner in which Eleonora’s line is viewed.
