The design for West Haven High School was inspired by nature and organic shapes. Nature portrays growth, healing, relaxation, and beauty. Bringing nature and organic shapes into the school helps students to learn and grow. This unique design inspiration sets West Haven High apart from other schools and encourages students to enjoy learning here. In this design nature is incorporated in green walls and biophilia. Organic shapes are incorporated throughout the space with use of honeycomb-esque materials and architecture as well as curves and peaks. Windows and skylights were also added to bring in natural daylight and nature views.
“West Haven City is focused on improving the economic and social well-being of its residents. West Haven has planned its infrastructure to meet future growth. The City has also planned growth in areas that will provide an economic boost to the City.” All high schools in the Salt Lake City District serve grades 9-12 The study ranks Utah as 11th for educational attainment and 8th in quality of Education, with an overall ranking as the the 11th most educated state in America.
