BROWN SCHULTZ SHERIDAN & FRITZ’S ASHLEY HERSHEY RECOGNIZED AS A WOMAN TO WATCH

The full list of Women of Influence, Women to Watch and Circle of Excellence honorees can be found at https://www.cpbj. com/2022-women-of-influence-winners/.

BURKENTINE STEERS COMPANY GROWTH THROUGH THE ADDITION OF TWO NEW C-SUITE EXECUTIVES

Ashley M. Hershey, CPA, CITP, MBA, Manager at Brown Schultz Sheridan & Fritz (BSSF), was recently announced as a Woman to Watch through Central Penn Business Journal’s (CPBJ) 2022 Women of Influence awards. Ashley and the other honorees will be recognized during an awards celebration event at the Harrisburg Hilton Hotel on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

For more information about Ashley, visit https://www.bssf.com/our-team/ashleyhershey/.

Burkentine, a rapidly growing, privately held real estate development company and home builder announced the appointment of Sean Albright as Chief Operating Officer, and Scott Thelen as Chief Financial Officer. Both newly created executive positions were filled in May as the company positions itself as a leader in the evolving “Build To Rent” (aka “Build For Rent”) business model. The two executives bring a combined 50-years of experience to the family held company.

“Ashley is so well-deserving of the Woman to Watch recognition, and we are excited to honor her at the celebration in June,” said Ken Wolfe, President and Managing Principal at BSSF. “Ever since I met Ashley, it has been evident that she is talented, driven and truly embodies our mission of helping people achieve extraordinary outcomes. She has proven herself a helpful, knowledgeable and dedicated woman of leadership and impact at BSSF, and we could not be more proud of her.” Twenty-nine Women of Influence, four Women to Watch and six Circle of Excellence honorees were selected by CPBJ for their significant contributions to their respective fields and for their leadership in Central Pennsylvania in the areas of civic leadership, communications, education, finance, general business, health care, law, philanthropy, real estate and technology. The Women to Watch recognition specifically honors female business leaders, age 35 or younger, who are stepping up to help shape the Central Pennsylvania of tomorrow through professional success and a commitment to making a positive impact on the community. This year is the first year that CPBJ is recognizing Women to Watch as part of the Women of Influence awards.

For more information about the Central Penn Business Journal’s Women of Influence awards, visit www.CPBJ.com/ event/women-of-influence/. DOCEO HIRES TYLER KAUFFMAN TO JOIN THEIR GROWING IT DIVISION Doceo, a local office technology company, has hired Tyler Kauffman as an IT Support Specialist for their growing IT Division. Tyler will assist clients and end users with technology-related problems, both on-site and remotely. He will also work alongside Senior Analysts with server and network deployments, as well as provide analysis and recommendations to the Business Development Team. “We are thrilled to have Tyler join our team,” commented Christian White, Chief Technology Officer at Doceo. “His past technical experience and customer-focused attitude is an asset to our team.” Most recently, Tyler was a Senior Enterprise Technology Administrator for the County of York, PA where he served as a lead technician overseeing a small team responsible for 18 County departments. Tyler attended Pennsylvania State University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Sciences and Technology. He currently resides in York with his girlfriend and in his free time, he enjoys working on home improvements and hanging out with his two dogs, Bert and Amelia.

From the Burkentine family: “While we are a larger organization, being family owned does change the dynamics and nature of business and decision making. Sean Albright’s experience in this arena, particularly in another fast-growing organization will give him the ability to coach, train and mentor team members on how to advance. Sean will also be a great asset to ownership, given his ability to work with a dynamic group of family owners in the past. Scott Thelen has proven that he can grow and lead teams in times of rapid growth and change, which is exactly what we are experiencing at Burkentine. Scott, just like Sean, will be able to provide guidance to the ownership team on strategic decisions, as well as the various Business Units. Bridging the gap between the operations and the financial group of the organization will help get Burkentine to the next level. We couldn’t be happier for the positive impact that Scott and Sean will make to the organization. They will put us in a great position to reach and exceed our company goals. Our family is grateful for the opportunity to share this milestone.”
