MR. WEST MADE HM: We out here today with Mr Westmade

crawling in Trying to walk she skipped her bottle and went straight to the Sippy cup so she’s doing a lot right now.

What's happen HM: What's going on with you man how you doing ? chilling vibe in HM: Yo! we haven't seen you since the 48 hr freakin weekin in Hot Palm Springs man how was that for you? It's was like 117 every day it was turn, it was vibein and it was good people out there. I seen a lot of my Player partners out there so I enjoy networking, getting to meet different managers, different artist, models and strippers ya feel me. It was a good networking opportunity A good place for me to go out there and put this music out there and to chop it up with some big names, some kats up-and-coming, some indie artist and some signed artists etc. so I enjoyed it.

HM: We just heard that you was going to B-real TV show how was that? It was all love man the big Homie Young Gee shout out to Young Gee came down from San Diego we was doing some music together. While working in the studio we went over to downtown LA and did a episode of B-real TV. I'm actually going back on there this week so it was all love being able to chop it up with them they showed a lot of love. Shout out to R.M.M DPG they loved it When Us cats come up to B-real and put that player partnership shit on there. It was definitely all love that day. HM: Did you get to sit in The Cadillac?

HM: OK that's what's up right there. HM: We like to congratulate you on your beautiful baby girl how old is she now?

That's all green screen but it is Cadillac in there though, but the show is all green screen. They do have the lac Champagne guts on the inside Brown on the outside with the switches right in the front when you walk in.

I appreciate that man she's rapidly approaching six months right now. It's grind time she standing up on stuff she

HM: So your sign to R.M.M. Big Percy right? how did that come about 7

Man Big P I'm a Sac dogg and he's a Pomona kat and a Sac dogg you know us Sac Dogg stick together shout out to Mount Sac. I linked up with him because my fiancé is his niece my daughter is his goddaughter so from a family aspect we just started chopping it up you know. So when it got to the music it took off from there you know what I'm saying he took me under his wing, showed me love from the Jump when I'm in town he always hit my line. I'll come out he just show me how the game go and showed me how The game work and it's my job to soak it up and utilize it. HM: So it's all family HM: What kind of advice would you give anyone trying to get into this rap game today? Man you just gotta Believe your brand, Believe in yourself, Believe in what you have going because its saturated right now. Everyday is a new song, new artist and a new mix tape so every day you have to keep pushing your movement you can't get stagnant and you can get complacent this rap game is all about consistency. One piece Of advice I would give to a person is Believe in yourself and stay consistent.

HM: Have you worked with any other artists? I’m worked with young Gee. I got a song right now that I'm sending over to Mac lucci , Mac lucci,Indian blue and myself about to get down and do some stuff together. I got a record that I did about two or three years ago with Snoop Dogg on it that I still haven't dropped. So I just been working I have a lot of Kats shout out to boy Cali Kid and Jim Shaw some of the artist up under me that I'm working with. And there it go. HM: Oh that's all good. HM: now is there any artist that you would like to work with? Man I'm trying to get into the studio with Snoop. I chopped it up with Chevy Woods at his video shoot he's talking about he wants to do something you know he's always on the road or something. I need to get a hold of him. I'm saying I want to do a track with like Nipsey you know what I'm saying I want to get Nip on the track. HM: Do you feel being sign to a label is better then being independent I feel like it can go both ways if you're independent and you able to

HM: That's some good words.

have all your resources and push that but when you sign with a label you can individually and still build a unit concentrate more on your writing and around you it has that feel of being creating. And that's how I was origisigned to a label, but being signed to a nally going. Doing the full independlabel its a Family that's built from the ent thing. I feel like you're always a inbottom up and you play a role within dependent artist that's how it should be. that label and from there you able to understand what I’m saying? Unless have keys and excess to certain things you get to the major labels where they ya no what I'm saying. So when you’er have control over your life and your fully independent lifestyle it's differthen you have to ent with RMM it's build that repetia family aspect so tion to get those you got control of keys not saying your lifestyle Like that anything is I said the game is handed to you going to be stowed working with a laupon you all you bel but you get the to do is utilize it if family aspect so you get that RMM they automatically approve stamp going to fuck with then whatever you you and show you do they're going to how the game go. fuck with you you When you indeknow what I'm saypendent you got to ing. Your music is stake your claim going to speak for for your whole initself. dependent moveHM: So how do ment to get recogyou feel about nize as opposed to MAC LUCCI AND MR. WESTMADE iTunes, Sound being with a label you have a label Clouds and YouTube is it easier to get backing you and being behind you so noticed for independent or signed artist now you can focus more on yourself. to put there music there? I know it's definitely hard to get on the radio station now days? HM: Correct I feel when you're independent you have to wear all the hats 11

That's a good thing that you mention back in the days if you were on the radio you were that dude you were HOT. but now days we have different avenues we have people to get notice off of YouTube, Sound Cloud, Reverb, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. It creates more avenues but at the same time is saturate the market. So it's kind of a good thing in kind of a bad because I see it as more as being Quality over quantity in my eyes. We got all the things we need but like I said you're music is going to speak for itself, so if you got Quality music, Quality brand, Quality image and Quality idea then that's going to speak for itself. It might take a little longer for you to get noticed because it's so much on those sites every day someone is tagging you with something so it helps out artist because they don't have to pay for a website. Are go pay for this pay for that it creates a lot of free avenues for us artist to be able to put our music out there to the people and Build fan bases but again it's like that double edge sward it can help you just as well as it can hurt you. HM:What would you like our readers to look out for

do some traveling then I'll go from there. I have that tour coming up I'm also working on a project Mr. Westmade part2 EP coming out. As well as the south-central mix tape. The EP is going to be all me just Westmade then the mix tape we have a lot of collaboration like Mac lucci and other groups i've been chopping up with them we've been networking getting everything together. I have a couple tracks with young G that I've been doing so there that is that's it. HM: So how can our readers look you up? I'm on Instagram at Mr Westmade, I'm also on Snapchat at Mr. Westmade, Twitter Mr. Westmade and Sound Cloud Mr Westmade. I'm also a student athlete majoring in business marketing in entrepreneurship look me up at one Percenters production the website is. www.westsidetop.com HM:We would definitely put that out there and thanks for you time Much love my bro.

I'm about to do a college tour I’ve been talking to ASU, USC and UCLA getting a hometown school on board and 12

K-MONEY

BIG HUB

32

ENT.

HM: We sitting here in the studio with With B.P.G. Boss Playa Game Entertainment so what's up guys? How was your weekend last week coming off that Fourth of July weekend. We heard you guys just shot a new video? Big hub Yeah July 4 we just released ratchet and reckless featuring Freddie DiMarco it's the club banger. It’s most definitely for the streets 4sho 4sho. HM: Okay let get you guys names out here. Big hub Dogg the ghost of the West Coast K-money Young ghost of the West Coast HM: OK now how many members is it in the group of boss player entertainment

Bighub we was a group we did the group thing as far as members and all that, that didn't work for us Because everybody wasn't moving on the right page so we cut it short just me and bro.we keeping it all in house so we move like that so it's just us two. we have our street team and all that, that rolls with us but as far as making the music it's just me and bro. HM: You guys did the bishop magic juan's radio so how was that For you guys? Bighub Oh that was lovely we had a good time up there. K-money that was actually our first radio interview so we had the experience the you know answering questions and writing plus a lot of call Ins people actually seeing the performance and actually like it The song live. Bighub I actually was nervous as hell. K-money like I said the experience was just a good field and being around other music artist and other comedians and everybody in the entertainment world can come together in network.

33

HM: Yeah that's a difference style of radio right there he let's you get loose. Big hub yes he do, It was raw and uncut k-money U HEA ME JAC!!! Shout out to Bishop Don Juan for showing the love and Dj Krazy HM: What would be the steps that you give someone that will like to get into this rap game today? Bighub as far as steps I would say just stay at it sometimes you get discourage you know what I'm saying your confidence might drop a little because you're not where you want to be at but just stay at it you know you know you got talent so just keep at it will pay off eventually K Money I say believe yourself and understand that The music world you have to set there find a beat you have to write to the beat you have to go record the beat you got to mix the song you have to master of the song you have to film the project you have to edit the project you had to promote the project market the project just to sell yourself and sometimes you do all that for free you know

Bighub especially if you're a independent artist. You're doing everything out the pocket it's going to take some time that shit is not just going to happen that quick it might take a year to put out a mix tape. If you want that shit to be right. HM: How do you guys feel about all the new music stations that's out now like ITunes, Tidal and Sound Cloud do you think it's helping get your music where it needs to be. Or should we stay with the old way just having radio station? KMoney I mean being un-sign is hard to even think about being part of the radio and stuff like that yeah that would be able to be involved with the Tidal and things like that Bighub really I think it's a good outlet for me personally because the way I feel is its going directly out to your fans especially if you got a good fan base if fans are getting your music right then and there KMoney I really love YouTube the ability to have your own channel is better than listening to the radio I looking for BET now you can get update like every hour HM: Now ITunes they let you put your singles up right ? HM:So Sound cloud is free right ? 34

35

ain't in that lane we in our own lane. KMoney yeah that's the route we we're taking so we on sound cloud type in the search (boss playa Game entertainment) you can check out some of our latest drops. HM: Have you guys work with any of the artist KMoney O’yeah we work with (Fedie Demarco) he's sign to Ice T he's (the voice of Watts) Bighub we got a partner in long beach name (John Santos) he's a RnB singer on the mix tape that's out got a kat name (Young Sam) that's out of LA he went to school with bro so we just be making music we worked with Joe Baby he's from LA he's on the mix tape also we working with all underground Kats like us you know the Kats that already there they ain't reaching back missing the Kats like us they don't know our personality they didn't know what type of cats we is we ain't no groupie so if it takes us 30 years we don't get there you know we just go stay in our own Lane we in A perfect Lane we push this NON AFFILIATED SHIT that's the lane we in. To each his own they're banging when we

Is there any artist that's in your lane right now that you would like to work with Bighub oh there's a lot of them I would love to work with like (Jeezy) YG, joe Moses, RJ I like all them Kats that's on that's in a better spot that I'm in because I know they grind you no and I know what it take to get there so my doors is open KMoney I want to get a song with (Kendrick) just knowing he comes from the same town and how he push his movement I feel that we would make a dope ass track. HM:How hard is it for independent artist to get paid in the rap game these days ? Bighub it's crazy because everybody go off at look in word-ofmouth if I'm sitting next to you and I tell you I won't 5000 for a show they would be like who da hell is you would've you Jeezy and I'm sitting next to Jeezy they be like we give you 10,000 you no saying but I'm not worried about all that because I know we got talent the music we make its already there it's about us connecting with the right folks and this saying here (slapping 36

37

KMoney When they know who you are or who you work with an when you just approaching them to be like hey I get down with the music they be like who you messing with who you know that's the first question. They not listening to the music. Besides saying let me see what you got. They just want to know who you fuck with you know what I mean. So it's real hard is been many times we used to do a bunch of showcases and shit and sell tickets so we've been doing this for a long time then we realize we not doing this shit no more what the hell is selling tickets for putting money in other people pockets they can go on with that Bull Shit like I said the work will speak for itself we create a domino effect fans grow and we keep pushing. HM: OK tell us a little bit about your new mix tape when is coming out what you got on it KMoney late July title non affiliated Me and bro came up with the title you know we know everybody is from everywhere in Los Angeles

Bighub basically we protecting ourselves out here in these streets basically Like I said its like every nigga that's on is banging so when they see us and how we dress oh where ya niggas from that's the first question before they even asked your name so we like we nonaffiliated so you ain't even get ask us. That's how we coming that's how it is. Bighub & K-money we grew up in the same city you grew up in just because you from this section now making a difference it's easy to get killed just been a mistake and identity guilty by association. Are just being in a picture with somebodies group hanging around. Bighub and me personally I can't say The gang banging stuff is stupid because I never been a part of it, i'm on the outside looking in. it don’t make since to me but at the end of the day I respect what they push. Ya know what i’m saying if that's what they believe in i'm a nigga coming with respect anyway you get that off the top even if you running around acting silly I'm still respect you know Saying you didn't disrespect me so I'm going to stay in my own lane.

38

39

Dawn S: ? If you could change one thing about the industry what would it be? If I can change one thing about the industry it would be probably be to shadiness in the flakiness of so many people trying to get over on the up-and-coming are just trying to get over period. we got room for everybody to get bread so dudes need to get the minds right get the vision right get the heart right see what I mean straight up. HM: What would you give any artist that want to get into this business today? For the up-and-coming the best thing I can say get your knowledge up of the game and that takes diving in headfirst and figuring it out bumping your head a little bit yeah to get out here and figure out who you are as an artist then figure out who you are as a person so I get out here and that's my biggest advice HM: So you also work with some different artists who are some of the artist that you work with?
