RETURN THE LAND TO THE EARTH

_Tadao Ando

High-rise skyscraper, a variety of aircraft shuttle, commercial, residential, culture, education, railways, ports and industrial areas, all are well-organized and placed on the city puzzle. You will find that rivers, trees, and grasslands can no longer be found in such cities. What we want is faster and more economical. We are pursuing modernization and globalization.

_Frank Lloyd Wright "Buildings, too, are children of Earth and Sun."

"All architecture has a public nature, I believe, so I would like to make a public space. "

_Joe Hisaishi "Modern urban planning is based solely on the rationality of urban management. It lacks sensibility and runs counter to the inner needs of urban residents. So the architects who opposed the reinforced concrete emerged—to get back the longlost feelings for people in the complex and depressed modern cities, only to let the buildings return to nature."

The idea of “Return the land to the Earth” dose not mean to demolish all the existing building on the ground but let life blend in nature is the essence of the house. While enjoying the richness of nature that lives with nature, but also accept its severe, so I sacrificed the convenience of this option.

_Christopher Alexander "The structure of life I have described in buildings - the structure which I believe to be objective - is deeply and inextricably connected with the human person, and with the innermost nature of human feeling. "

Future district development is the process of create a dynamic living system. The urban district is not like a tree but a organic from contenting thousand of cells. Each cell represent a house and it should be linked to achieve some kind of approach. ISSUES WITH ADJACENTSELEMENTS The telegraph pole is right in front of the hose. For further development , it should be buried under ground in order to minimize the visual distraction.

Trees :The trees are allocated on south side of sparks street. Natural view of the 9m tree can be framed from second floor windows. Also ,the tree provide shelter for people walk by the path. However, It block part of the view of the wide open golf club. Fense: The ugly steel net fence is the boundary of private golf club. It totally cuts the zone in 2 part. For further design proposal , it should be demolished and replaced by more “suburb friendly design

Street parking: Free parking are placed on both side of Hicks street and Sparks Street. Some parking space should be reallocated to the park side . Then, the original parking space will be designed as public space or front yard of the house.

High boundary: The roof sheet boundary wall protect the privacy of the house .The boundary wall is arranged in a row along the building edge.

Public and private There are 3 group of tenants live in the corner house. In this case , private space should allocated away from the street.
