But more than that, it is about the wonderful people we met on our travels in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Alejandro, our new best friend, worked as a waiter in a Palermodistrict restaurant. He’s a fantastic longboarder and a really great guy.
Regardless of where we go around the globe, we always manage to meet people linked to Scandinavia. Take Paola, for instance. We met this blond beauty from Mendoza when she visited Buenos Aires. Her grandfather is Swedish, and she kept her Swedish name (Ă…lund) without the ring over the A.
We prefer to be safe rather than sorry. Gustavo, our eagle-eye security guy, kept us out of trouble, and we managed to convince him to do some modeling for us.
Bar & Restaurant La Perla, La Boca. (Yes, it’s the same name as the Boca juniors football team in which a famous, heightchallenged Argentinian started his career.)
One day in Palermo, we met the beautiful Maria Victoria who worked in a clothing store. We convinced her to meet us in La Boca the day after. She did, and she wore the dots exactly the way we like to see them worn.
Strolling through La Boca stimulates the senses. Here, you hear more than one tango singer trying to grab your attention.
We couldn’t resist. When we walked by Roxane & Rafael and saw them dance. We just had to get them into our clothes. After we enjoyed a fantastic lunch, great wine, and some cigars in La Boca, they performed a terrific tango for us! Salud!

Argentinian bad ass?
A lot of attitude, a supercool haircut, and sunglasses that were seldom removed: Catalina was one of our favorite models in Buenos Aires.

We met the two friends – Virginia and Ciro – in a park in Palermo. They were just hanging out, enjoying a slow Saturday afternoon.
Alejandro, our friend the waiter, really likes our clothes. We really like Alejandro.
In its multihued Palermo district, you find some of the most amazing graffiti and mural paintings in all of Buenos Aires. You also meet extraordinary people like the equally as colorful Mauricio. He kind of curled up on a curb.
OK: Hillechein is not Argentinian. But we just can’t keep this Dutch beauty away from you. She studied Spanish in Buenos Aires for a few months and did some modeling for us.
It’s not a yellow submarine. But a yellow truck and shirt!
POOL & PING PONG TUESDAY at SAN BERNANDO Well, however strange things might sound . . . Every Tuesday night, stakeholders in the fashion and media industries gather at this rough, old-school bar. Why? To play ping pong and pool. We got here a few hours too early and didn’t think anyone would show up. But around 11 PM, crowds gathered here. We left around 1 AM. And from what we heard, the party usually continues until 4-5 AM. That’s kind of... sporty?
We found Jhonatan sitting outside San Bernando on the sidewalk, waiting for his friend to join him to play some pool this very nice Tuesday night.

We decided to see something other than Buenos Aires on our last day. So with Victoria and Wenceslao, we took an especially delightful trip to Estancia Santo Domingo.
In the old Santo Domingo library, we browsed many captivating books and managed to get some great shots of Victoria.

Encountering the genuine Buenos Aires We never know what kind of images we’ll get during our travels. We don’t know who we’ll meet. That’s the great thing about creating catalogues in the unusual way that we do. One Sunday afternoon, we were supposed to go to Fereira de Mataderos. On the way, we passed this nameless little bar-restaurant. “Stop!” shouted our art director. “We’re stopping here.” After finding places to sit on several decrepit plastic chairs and ordering our beer and wine, it didn’t take long before the locals were curious about who we were. Our timeout ended with a song, a lot of new friends, and an unforgettable afternoon on our trip. Want to see and hear the music? Visit our web site. The artist is standing to the left of the door. Our friend Miguel, an authentic gaucho, ate a late lunch when we sat at the table next to the bar with no name. In the end, we shared wine, and he tried our shirt.

A man with a big heart, who we can call Jorge. He smoked a lot of cigarettes, drank copious quantities of wine, and exclaimed after trying our clothes and looking at our photos: “I love Suecia!�

Jeans by NN•07 Our jeans are made from the original Selvedge denim that’s woven on old-style shuttle looms, which were used to weave denim in the US in the old days. It’s made with a single, weft thread that spans the entire width, and it has typical red and white edging that won’t fray. The denim weight is between 11.5–13.75 ounces. Copper rivets, donut buttons, a leather patch label, and perfect fit are what make our jeans “The originals of tomorrow”.
