This season, Happy Socks flew to the West Coast of the United States to capture the spirit of the collection under the very special light and atmosphere of Venice Beach, California. The lifestyle pictures present the essence of the collection through the laid-back attitude palpable all around Venice Beach. Easy-to-wear yet eye catching products asserting confidence at the same time as nonchalance, easiness and happiness. The mood created by the crew on location is playful, colorful and very Happy, reflecting the community wearing Happy Socks globally. The photo series included in this catalogue aims to keep the ever-growing customer base happy by presenting an extensive variety of ways to wear Happy Socks. The idea is always to fulfill the daily needs of the Happy Socks clientele while continuing to bring happiness and quality to every corner of the world. Happy Socks started in the spring of 2008. Two friends had a vision: to spread happiness by turning an everyday essential into a colorful design piece with a rigid standard of ultimate quality, craftsmanship and creativity. A concept now brought to perfection by the Happy Socks collective of creators. Today Happy Socks are sold in more than 70 countries and on every continent.

In August 2010, Happy Socks opened its first concept store in Stockholm, Sweden. The store is located in the heart of the most vibrant and popular shopping district in Stockholm. Two years later, Happy Socks opened its second shop in Shibuya, Tokyo. New York City quickly followed on April 1st 2013 with the opening of a Happy location in the heart of Soho. Following these successes and in order to protect and enhance its position as market leader within fashion socks and underwear; Happy Socks developed an ambition for opening flagship stores on strategically important and brand building locations globally.

The two latest locations opened their doors in 2015 in Venice, LA and at Placa de Catalunya in Barcelona. The Concept Stores are modern, white spaces acting as perfect canvases for presenting all of the colorful Happy Socks products. Seasonal collections are showcased along with collaborations and boxed gift sets, literally bringing happiness and quality to every corner of the world.

ELLEN VON UNWERTH PHOTOGRAPHER AND DIRECTOR

Her sensual campaigns for Guess? in the early 1990s launched Ellen von Unwerth’s commercial career, and subsequently she has created campaigns for Agent Provocateur, Chantal Thomass, Victoria’s Secret, Tommy Hilfiger, MAC Cosmetics, Baccarat, Belvedere, Moët & Chandon, Cointreau, Veuve Cliquot, Absolut, H&M, Lacoste, L`Oreal, Dior, Diesel, Chanel, Kenzo, Miu Miu and Blumarine as well as a series of advertisements for HBO’s Sex and the City both the series and the feature film.

Ellen von Unwerth has also ventured into directing short films for various clients like Dior, Azzedine Alaïa and Katherine Hamnett, Guess and commercials for Guerlain, Clinique, Revlon, Victoria’s Secret, Cacharel and a range of music videos. In addition to her career as fashion photographer, filmmaker and video director, her work has been collected in numerous books and two photo-novellas. Ellen von Unwerth’s first book, Snaps, was published in 1994 followed by Wicked (1998), Couples (1999) and Omahyra & Boyd (2005). Her photo-novella Revenge was published in 2003 accompanied by exhibitions in New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg and Moscow. The Fräulein book was published in December of 2009 by Taschen and accompanied by exhibitions in New York, London, Paris and Berlin. In 2012 Ellen von Unwerth published the photo-novella « The story of Olga » as a collectors item with Taschen publishing house. Her photographs have been widely exhibited internationally including in Archaeology of Elegance (2012), Fashioning Fiction, exhibited at MoMA/Queens in 2004, and The Model as Muse, exhibited at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (2009). Her shortfilms won prizes at the Lajolla Festival, the ASOFF Festival and several others. The Happy Socks Fall/Winter 2016 Image Campaign gives total creative freedom to Ellen von Unwerth. It will feature models Stella Maxwell, Eva Doll and Cody Saintgnue. The campaign will be showcased through press, on our online channels and in-store.

ROYAL ENFIELD FOR FALL/WINTER 2016, HAPPY SOCKS PRESENTS ONE OF ITS MOST UNEXPECTED COLLABORATIONS YET WITH LEGENDARY INDIAN MOTORCYCLE MAKER ROYAL ENFIELD.

The collaboration results in a multi-product line combining the universes of both brands. It comprises a motorcycle, a helmet, a bikerâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s jacket, sweaters, t-shirts, and of course underwear and socks!
