The Zero Fucks Cookbook Best Food Least Effort Yumi Stynes This is set to be the best cookbook of 2018! The Zero Fucks Cookbook comes from an author who considers cooking and eating one of the great pleasures of life – but who has zero time or energy for recipes that create work and add an unnecessary level of complication to otherwise honest food. With signature Yumi attitude and irreverence, it presents readers with 60 inventive, delicious and nutritious recipes that consume precisely zero f*cks, but make it possible to focus on what sharing food with the people you love should really be all about. You shall not fuss. If a step can be simplified, shortened or skipped altogether, it will be. You shall use the whole tub or container, rather than leave an annoying blob in the bottom. You shall always opt for healthier food, making you feel sexier. Marshmallows do not count as an ingredient. Nor does Coca Cola, nor French Onion Soup. You are busy, not a bogan. You will never apologise. You cooked. That is enough. When it is written 'best quality' – eg, 'use 200g of best quality bacon' – it means the best quality you can afford. 'Best quality' does not equal 'most expensive'. 8. You will always accept help. If you are in a situation where you have zero f*cks left to give and someone offers to help chop, or bring a plate or salad, or buy a cake for dessert, YOU WILL SAY YES. 9. You WILL follow the recipe! Every recipe has been carefully checked and tested by people who give vastly more f*cks than you do. Trust them. Get creative later. 10. THOU SHALT HAVE FUN. Yumi's book shows how it is possible to adhere to these principles AND enjoy delicious, tasty fuss-free food. It is divided across five chapters: weeknights; barbecue; snacks, emergencies and other moments of desperation; sweet stuff; and weekends. The key is celebrating her love of eating and cooking, without unnecessarily complicating meal time in an already busy family household.

Author Details Yumi Stynes is a writer, broadcaster, television presenter, food fanatic, former cook, fitness enthusiast and mother-of-four. Among her daily responsibilities she presents a national radio show on the KIIS network called The 3pm Pickup . She hosts a new ABC podcast called Ladies, We Need to Talk which has consistently rated at number 1 on the iTunes charts, and zeroes in on forbidden conversations that women need to have. In 2018 she'll be fronting a couple of documentary television projects and in April she intends to take two of her children on an 84km bushwalk through the Tasmanian wilderness. Yumi grew up in rural Victoria with a Japanese mother and finds Japanese-Australian cooking a natural fit – and in The Zero Fucks Cookbook, shows off some insanely easy tricks that make it easy for anyone to make Japanese food at home. Yumi has always been and remains the only cook in her household and thus quite an expert in inclusive and easy food. In her Zero F*cks approach she encourages the home cook to unshackle themselves from guilt and stress and enjoy what can be done simply and well.

The Keto Reset Diet Reboot Your Metabolism in 21 Days and Burn Fat Forever Mark Sisson Learn how to make perhaps the most profound health and weight loss boosting lifestyle change you will ever make – transforming your body from carbohydrate dependency to become a fat burning beast. In his new book, Mark Sisson – bestselling author ofThe Primal Blueprint and publisher of the popular health site and blog MarksDailyApple.com – reveals his proven effective ketogenic eating strategy for losing weight and improving health. When you go keto, you will reset your metabolism for effortless fat loss using a targeted ketogenic diet of high fat, low-tomoderate protein, low-carb foods, and complementary lifestyle practices that help optimise metabolic and hormonal functions. Unlike other ketogenic plans, Sisson first teaches readers the real secret to rapid and sustained weight loss, which is in becoming ‘fat-adapted’ before entering full nutritional ketosis. This process allows your body to learn to burn fat more efficiently, resulting in increased and sustained weight loss over the long-term. It takes as little as 21-days to reprogram your metabolism to burn fat for fuel, by ditching processed grains, sugars, and refined vegetable oils in favour of nutrient-dense, high fat, primal/paleo foods – and you'll see immediate results. Next, you'll fine-tune with Intermittent Fasting and then foray into full ketogenic eating for a further weight loss boost and improved health. In this way, you will achieve the highest level of what Sisson calls metabolic flexibility – the key to health, weight control, and longevity. With The Keto Reset Diet, you can eat to total satisfaction by enjoying rich, high-satiety foods, and even weather occasional slip-ups with high carb treats or undisciplined vacation binges and not go into a tailspin. Instead, you can quickly recalibrate back to fat-adaptation, and use keto as a lifelong tool to stay trim, healthy, energetic, and free from the disastrous health conditions caused by the high carb, high insulin producing modern diet.

Amanda Ruben is the founder and owner of Miss Ruben, a New York–inspired deli and cafe in suburban Ripponlea Village, in the heart of Melbourne’s Jewish community. The daughter of Jewish parents and a journalist by trade, Amanda grew up in the various kitchens of her entrepreneurial mother, Tamara, who ran a series of food businesses in Melbourne. After switching careers, Amanda opened two food stores in partnership with her mum. The two Cooper & Milla’s stores – named after Amanda’s two children – offered amazing salads, cakes and simple food based around the best seasonal produce. Miss Ruben has continued the theme, with a greater emphasis on catering and take-home food that subtly pays homage to the Jewish heritage of the area.

Mentoring The Key to a Fairer World Jack Manning-Bancroft

DRAF T

C OV E R

As a 19-year-old university student, Jack Manning Bancroft realised that education was the key to leading the most disadvantaged kids in Australia – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high school kids – out of inequality. He founded AIME, The Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience, with 25 Indigenous kids in Redfern. Twelve years on, more than 10,000 high school kids and 5,000 university students have been through the AIME program. In Australia, 75 per cent of non-Indigenous young people between the ages of 18 and 25 are in university, employment or further training – for Indigenous kids, this rate is only 40 per cent. Based at university campuses across Australia, AIME trains university students to become mentors, role models and education heroes to Indigenous school students. It’s now proven that Indigenous kids who complete the AIME program finish school and transition through to university, employment and further training at almost the same rate as every Australian child – effectively closing the gap. AIME now has its sights set on working with 10,000 kids a year by 2018 and helping close the educational gap in Australia forever. In 2017 the model has been launched across the globe. In Mentoring: The Key to a Fairer World, Jack and his collaborators — colleagues, mentors, former mentees, and supporters — reflect on the impact AIME has had in Australia, on their lives, the lives of the kids who completed the program and on the opportunities that lie ahead. This collection of essays shows us that it's possible to overcome the impossible, to tear down injustice, to change the world — all through one simple idea.

Wallis in Love The Untold True Passion of the Duchess of Windsor Andrew Morton Wallis in Love brings a fascinating new perspective on the 20th century's most controversial royal scandal. Andrew Morton's impeccable research and unerring skill for riveting storytelling combine to present a strong case for a new and startling reveal: that the woman who rocked the world with her uncompromising passion for the Prince of Wales may have fooled everyone by keeping the object of her true passion hidden away ... From her relatively lowly beginnings in America – where young Wallis and her mother were dependent on her domineering and powerful Uncle Sol, to her rise through the social ranks and her determination to one day beat men at their own game – to the ultimate conquest of the Prince of Wales, Morton paints a vivid and multi-faceted picture of a compelling, ambitious and often hard-hearted woman, who may have won the jewel in the British crown but very possibly at the expense of her true happiness. Wallis in Love reveals the men Wallis truly loved, the men who broke her heart – and the hearts she broke in turn. It exposes for the first time the truly astonishing offer she made to another man days before her wedding to the ex-king, the Duke of Windsor. Publication

In this vivid, fresh and frankly amazing portrait of the Duchess of Windsor, Morton draws on interviews, secret letters, diaries and never before seen or heard primary sources. From the day she was born in a ramshackle cottage in the hills to revealing what really happened the night her husband died, Morton paints a fresh and enticing portrait of the Duchess of Windsor.

Author Details Andrew Morton is one of the world's best-known biographers and a leading authority on modern celebrity as well as royalty. His ground-breaking 1992 biography revealed the secret world of Diana, Princess of Wales. Written with her full, though then secret, cooperation, the book changed the way the world looked at the British royal family. Since Diana: Her True Story , he has gone on to write Number 1 Sunday Times and New York Times bestsellers on Monica Lewinsky, Madonna, David and Victoria Beckham, Tom Cruise, Angelina Jolie, and, most recently, 17 Carnations: The Windsors, The Nazis and The Cover-Up . The winner of numerous awards, he divides his time between London and Los Angeles.

the witch doesn't burn in this one Amanda Lovelace 2016 Goodreads choice award-winning poet Amanda Lovelace returns in the witch doesn't burn in this one — the bold second book in her "women are some kind of magic" series. The witch: supernaturally powerful, inscrutably independent, and now – indestructible. These moving, relatable poems encourage resilience and embolden women to take control of their own stories. Enemies try to judge, oppress, and marginalise her, but the witch doesn’t burn in this one.

Author Details Growing up a word-devourer and avid fairy tale lover, it was only natural that Amanda Lovelace began writing books of her own, and so she did. When she isn’t reading or writing, she can be found waiting for pumpkin spice coffee to come back into season and binge-watching Gilmore Girls (before you ask: Team Jess all the way). The lifelong poetess and storyteller currently lives in New Jersey with her fiancé, their two moody cats, and a combined book collection so large it will soon need its own home. As of 2016, she is working towards her B.A. in English literature with a minor in sociology. the princess saves herself in this one, originally published in 2016, is her debut poetry collection.
