The new college is an engaging & inviting centre outside of downtown Doha, Qatar. Celebrating it’s prominent location on the Qatar University campus, one of the city’s research and education core. The building’s architectural design formally and philosophically extends out into the community. Crafted of painted zinc, high performance glazing, and stainless steel, the building has a timeless appearance and extraordinary durability in the Doha climate. The design reinvents current demands;harvest energy on its photovoltaic tinted glazing;be an intelligent building that gives feedback of its own performance; vertical campus & fresh breathable air at higher altitudes; automated sun shading cooling systems; heat sensors; intelligent materials; water harvesting system for self irrigation & amplifies wind speeds with its twisted shape to facilitate wind harvesting – energy efficient.The building is an icon of its location and a manifestation of nature's lessons.
