HISTORY

1970’s Traffic congestion was a daily occurrence in the narrow

stretch of land in Parañaque

and Las Piñas going to nearby provinces, particularly Cavite.

This led to the construction of a 6.6-

kilometer (4.1 mi), four-lane (two on

each side) asphalt reclaimed road from Roxas Boulevard leading to the then-

municipalities of ParaĂąaque, Las PiĂąas

and Bacoor which opened in September 1985

2011

A 7-kilometer (4.3 mi) extension to Kawit, Cavite, was opened.

December 28, 2016

Access ramps connecting Coastal Road and NAIA Expressway opened to motorists coming from Cavite and Las PiĂąas, for easier access to NAIA Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and vice versa.

2018, AUGUST The Pacific Avenue Flyover The flyover eliminated the signalized intersection for vehicles bound for Diosdado Macapagal Boulevard via Pacific Avenue, and improve the traffic situation around the said intersection.

CAVITEX is a 14 km expressway along the coast of Bacoor Bay after south of Roxas Boulevard which exits to Bacoor City and Kawit. CAVITEX is located 11 kilometers from Manila, the capital city of the Philippines and 7 kilometers from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). The major road project was designed to further strengthen the commercial link

The CAVITEX is seen to ease traffic on a major stretch for travelers going to Cavite province, which hosts an export processing zone and other businesses and factories. Travel time will be reduced going to and from the Province of Cavite. CAVITEX is managed by CAVITE INFRASTRUCTURE CORPORATION (CIC)/ METRO PACIFIC TOLLWAYS CORPORATION and being operated by PEA TOLLWAYS CORPORATION, a
