• DM Consunji, Inc. (DMCI) – the lead contractor for the Metro Manila Skyway Stage 2. • Citra Metro Manila Tollways Corporation (CMMTC) – the proponent for the Skyway Project.


• April 2009 Citra announced the construction on the second stage. • By May 2010, rotating the highest pierhead in the Sucat area. • By July, concreting 134 of the required 238 spans and started pouring the Asphalt overlay.


• Started mobilization in May 2009 and finishing in March 2011. • On December 15, 2010, The Bicutan-to-Sucat portion of Stage 2 opened to the public. • April 2011 – opened to public.


• STAGE 2 involved the construction of a 6.88km-long expressway from BICUTAN to ALABANG.

• Accommodates an estimated of 300,000 vehicles per day


• 6-lane elevated toll way to the public from Bicutan to Alabang.


• Total Project Cost: 2 Billion Pesos • Minimum Speed : 60kph • Maximum Speed : 100kph for Class 1 Vehicles 80kph for buses and trucks


• The project aims to provide a vital link between ALABANG AND BICUTAN through elevated expressway system. • It also aimed at helping decongest Metro Manila’s major road system • The project is also to boost the conduct of trade and commercial activities


ISSUE • Worsening traffic condition in Metro Manila SOLUTION • The government proposed to build the Skyway Stage3.
