Recognise equivalent fractions Some fractions are equal to other fractions. We call them equivalent fractions. Example: Hira has a pizza. She divides it into 3 equal pieces. She eats 1 piece, 1 so she eats 3 .
Leo buys a pizza too. He divides it into 6 equal pieces. He eats 2 pieces, so 2 he eats 6 .
