UNNATURAL CYCLES – A GHOST STORY

There’s a growing dark cloud above the Rosenberg house. Two women – one dead, one alive – need to reconcile their differences to remove it and let in new life…

Drawing on personal experiences, original new writing and film-making underpinned by a live looped soundscape, Unnatural Cycles – A Ghost Story is a nuanced exploration of infertility, faith and what it means to bear the weight of inherited generational trauma.

Unnatural Cycles emerged from a dream in which writer Avital Raz met her Grandmother, followed by a year of listening to old cassettes in which she was interviewed about her experiences surviving the Jewish Holocaust. This is ‘likely to be one of the most compelling things you hear all year’ —Herald Scotland.

MACBETH

1 4+

It will have blood, they say. Three mysterious figures enter the stage. They talk of the hurly-burly, of thunder and lightning, and of a young couple who believe they can overthrow the old regime. They conjure the Macbeths, placing them in a dangerous new world where paranoia, betrayal and brutality rule.

Blood will have blood. Fusing live action with innovative video technology, imitating the dog bring their ‘breathtakingly inventive’ (The Times) style of storytelling to Shakespeare’s tragic tale of ambition, destiny and downfall. An audacious and daring retelling made for the audiences of today, Macbeth is a neon noir thriller where Shakespeare’s original language collides with startling new scenes, stunning visuals, and a powder-keg intensity.

WHEN WE DIED

He’s dead, and it’s her job to prepare and present his body for his family’s final goodbye. She often imagines what each person’s life was like. But today she doesn’t have to imagine who he is. She knows him.

Faced with the body of the man who raped her eleven months ago, When We Died is a striking new play about one woman’s choice to confront her trauma and tell her story, on her terms.

An early version of the play was long-listed for the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting in 2017 before premiering at VAULT Festival in March 2020.

Online version is available between 31 March–21 April.

The man behind Dave TV’s hit show Modern Life Is Goodish as well as Are You Dave Gorman? and Googlewhack Adventure.

The ‘high priest of the comedy Powerpoint talk’ (The Times) is touring again - as much as anything to demonstrate that a powerpoint presentation doesn't have to involve a man in a grey suit standing behind a lectern and saying ‘next slide please’. We've all had enough of that, so let's put it all behind us and never speak of it again - there are far more important things to analyse. Well... more important in Dave's head anyway.
