WELCOME BACK It is with enormous pleasure that I am able to welcome audiences back to Harrogate Theatres. We managed to get our pantomime up and running and the response was overwhelming. Audiences of all ages enthusiastically received every performance, so thank you to all of you who attended. If you have been in town over the past six months you will have noticed the scaffolding that currently surrounds Harrogate Theatre. Our 122 year old building is still undergoing significant repairs and renovations which will continue until April 2022.
The entire roof is being replaced for the first time in the building’s history. It has been a huge operation requiring a large matrix of contractors. Understandably it has experienced problems, but I can assure patrons that the interior of the theatre is as safe and beautiful as ever. The work, carried out by Harrogate Borough Council, will ensure that Harrogate Theatre will be around for another 120 years and more to serve our community. Please have a look through what’s on offer, there is plenty for everyone. I hope we all have a great 2022. David Bown Chief Executive
