PACKAGING INSPIRED BY NATURE Oysters are aquatic creatures which produce pearl, oysters look and give the feeling of protection and being delicate. They look ugly on the outside but are protecting something as precious as a pearl inside. Because of its elegant yet strong nature I picket the oyster for my packaging. This was a 2 day class project to understand packaging. This finger ring box was designed in such a way that the ring collapses and hides in the base when the box is shut, when the box is opened, it stands up and appears like a blooming flower. The box itself is very thin and hence can be easily carried a wallet or purse.

Every seven years, designer Stefan Sagmeister takes a sabbatical for one year. He doesn’t accept any clients or new projects. Instead he spends the 12 months developing independent projects he would not have had time to pursue, had his studio been open. He decided to take these year-long breaks after realizing that his design work was becoming adaptive.

WINDOW DISPLAY FOR LOUIE PHILLIPE Inspiration was taken from the patterns of light and shadow that are formed on the river Thames because of the illuminated London Bridge at dusk. The high contrast vividly brings out the patters and creates textures on the floor of the display window. The bold silhouettes of iconic structures of England on the back give it a strong look.
