After compiling the program document for Geebamu, a non-profit community health clinic and library (Liberia, Africa), we were tasked with creating a simple piece of furniture that could be used in the building. The piece's design was to support our overall objective and communicate what the building was aiming to bring the community--it was to be both functional and symbolic. Accompanying the full-scale furniture, we were tasked with situating a scaled model of the piece within abstract environment to express our design goals.
