WHAT TO EAT + DRINK IN HARWOOD The dining destinations in the Harwood District offer unique tastes from around the world. This season, take a culinary tour of the Harwood Hospitality destinations by checking out these favorite menu features: H A RWOOD ARMS D Magazine’s Best Sports Bar, Harwood Arms, is now offering a Sunday Roast. Your new Sunday tradition includes seasonal vegetables, roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, and traditional gravy. Served every Sunday starting at 4 PM. Gulp it all down with a Strawberry Fields cocktail, filled with Sipsmith London Gin, strawberry cane syrup, lemon, and egg white.
ELEPH A N T EAST Experience genuine Pan-Asian cuisine that’ll have your taste buds begging for more at Elephant East. For a guaranteed treat, try the Korean Fried Chicken. Perfect for the sweet and spicy lovers, this dish includes puffed chicken, gochujang sauce, pickled chilis, rice, and sesame seeds. Paired best with a Spring Snow cocktail featuring Empress Gin, St-Germain, lavender-infused syrup, and fresh lemon.
H A PPIEST H OU R The only thing that can make a visit to Happiest Hour even better is if you’re there for a good cause. This season don’t miss out on the D4K™ Burger, a dry-aged short rib and brisket burger, packed with sautéed mushrooms, bacon onion jam and poblano aioli, all topped off with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Better yet, $1 of every order goes to Dak Prescott’s Faith Fight Finish Foundation. Finish it off with one of the signature cocktails, Berries From the West with Western Son Blueberry Vodka, pinot noir syrup and blueberries. The cocktail's refreshing and fruity taste pairs perfectly with the D4K™ Burger’s rich and salty flavor.
M AGN OLIAS : S O US LE PONT Escape to Magnolias: Sous le Pont for an artistic and creative atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a quiet place to work, relax, or read a good book, Magnolias is the perfect escape. Try their popular namesake drink, Magnolia Latte, which includes lavender, rose, elderflower, and a hint of vanilla. Up for something different? Ask your barista about seasonal drinks, they love to recommend their favorites. Spend your day surrounded by art and inspiration. Its French atmosphere will transport you thousands of miles away.
M ERCAT B ISTRO We can’t take you to Paris, but Mercat Bistro can certainly take you away. Try the house favorite, East Coast Oysters, accompanied by horseradish and three sauce options: lemon, cocktail, and mignonette. The oysters are best paired with a refreshing and citrus cocktail like the La Vie En Rose. The sparkling bevvy contains St. Germain, Lillet, fresh lime, raspberries and, of course, bubbles. Put these two together to create the ultimate European bistro experience.
SA IN T A N N RESTAURANT & BAR Savor the best American cuisine al fresco at Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar. Best enjoyed on the patio, try the tender and flavorful Tuna Tartare. The dish is served with ponzu, sesame, avocado and a side of wonton chips. With all ingredients sourced fresh and directly from local purveyors, the flavors of Saint Ann will have you coming back for more. Accompany your dish with their signature cocktail, Golden Hour Old Fashioned, filled with Maker's Mark, maple vanilla simple syrup, and Angostura bitters.
TE D ES EO Travel to Latin America without leaving your own neighborhood at Te Deseo. Their Latin- inspired cuisine is boasting with bold and mouth-watering flavors. Feed the whole crew with the Ribeye Chuleton, a 32oz Prime Bone-In Ribeye. This juicy and tender Ribeye will fill you up but leave you wanting more. Enjoyed best with the savory and sweet Pirulino cocktail. This fan favorite is made with Tres Generaciones Reposado Tequila, Jim Beam, cinnamon, and chocolate. STEP INSIDE TWO SUPREMELY STYLISH BLEU CIEL RESIDENCES W R I T T E N B Y E L A I N E R A F F E L O F C A N DY ' S D I RT
In the world of luxury high-rise living, Bleu Ciel has always had a certain je ne sais quoi. For starters, it’s visually stunning. Designed by renowned Paris-based architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte, the 33-story glass tower is the epitome of modern elegance — a striking, sculptural silhouette in the heart of Uptown Dallas. Urban gardens add to the allure, the handiwork of third-generation Japanese gardener Sadafumi Uchiyama. A lavish list of amenities includes a hotel-worthy spa, two Junior Olympic-style pools, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and a climate-controlled wine tasting and storage room.
Unit 1706: A blue sofa mimics the color of the sky throughout the day and night. Designer: Cheryl Parsa (Art of Modern Living)
And then there’s the skyrise’s enviable location. Situated at the north end of Harwood’s 19-city block bubble, you don’t have to wander far to experience some of Dallas’ best dining, drinking, museums, parks, walking trails, and more. “You may never have to leave the property,” says Bleu Ciel Director of Sales Allison Hayden. There’s also a 24/7 concierge at the ready to meet a homeowner’s every need. If you’re wondering what it would be like to move right in, look no further than the expertly staged model homes created by two local talents: Cheryl Parsa (Art of Living Modern) and Janet Baker (Janet Baker Design). “We let these wonderful designers have carte blanche when it comes to staging the units — and they always sell,” says Hayden.
Unit 1207: Baker’s goal was to honor the home's uninterrupted views. Designer: Janet Baker (Janet Baker Design)
According to Parsa, most sales are made at the front door. “If clients can imagine themselves living there, every thought they have from that moment on supports their initial decision.” Her favorite elements are the expansive glass curtain walls and enormous balconies. These contiguous spaces allow the sky and cityscape to effortlessly become part of the design, extending the living area from the interior to the exterior.
