BUILDING POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS Kiwi Can classes for Term 1 are focusing on Positive Relationships and classes are exploring and practising concepts such as Fairness and Fairplay, Leadership, and Conflict Resolution. So far lessons have explored ways to act kindly and safely, why we should include and encourage others and what it looks like to be a good role-model. The four-way tug-o-war has been a particularly popular activity this term, with plenty of opportunity to practice inclusion and encouragement, as well as a healthy degree of strategic collaboration! Di and Sophia have introduced creative ways of acknowledging positive behaviour in the Kiwi Can classes this term. There is the Taniwha award (for junior classes), the Tohu Rangatira (for being a role-model to your classmates) and Kai Pai pebbles (for showing specific positive behaviours in class).
