HAVEN: What drew you toward working in homebuilding and design? What was your career path like leading up to launching Tushita Builders?
Ivannia: I’ve always been fascinated by the way spaces can shape people’s experiences and improve their quality of life. The ability to design and build something functional, beautiful, and lasting is what drew me toward homebuilding. I see it as a creative process but also as a way to leave a positive, tangible impact on a community. My career path leading up to launching Tushita Builders was strongly influenced by my experience pursuing a BBA and MBA, and I’m continuing to deepen my industry knowledge while currently in a MS-COMG program. This combination of business acumen and construction expertise has been crucial in shaping the success of my company.

Ivannia: At Tushita Builders, the core values of integrity, innovation, and client-centricity drive everything we do. For instance, we prioritize using eco-friendly materials like reclaimed wood and energy-efficient fixtures that reduce long-term energy consumption. This might mean optimizing natural light, integrating smart home technology to monitor energy use, or creating designs that support sustainable landscaping. visualize their homes before a single brick is laid. We’ve also expanded our commitment to sustainability, pushing beyond standard green practices to create truly innovative, eco-friendly projects. Additionally, the company has grown to be more community-focused. Beyond our building projects, we’ve partnered with local non-profits like Habitat for Humanity and performed industrial demo work for organizations like the Chung Tai Zen Center of Houston, reinforcing our commitment to making a positive social impact alongside delivering exceptional properties.

Ivannia: Looking forward, my vision for Tushita Builders is to continue pushing boundaries in both design and sustainability. Additionally, I aim to expand our reach, both geographically and in terms of the types of projects we take on.
