RETURNS FOR A BIGGER-THAN-EVER 2023 GOLF EVENT

For golf aficionados, nothing can compare to watching the best of the best compete in highstakes golf tournaments. While most of the biggest tournaments are in Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina, northern U.S. states also host major golf events in the summer. One upcoming golf tournament is set to bring huge crowds and many of the best golfers on the planet to Connecticut.

The Travelers Championship is a tournament that has been played since the early 1950s. It is the Professional Golfers’ Association’s second-most attended event and New England’s only PGA Tour stop. This colossal tournament attracts many of the world’s top golfers to compete for their share of the enormous purse on offer, climbing to a record $20 million this year.

The Travelers Championship is at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut. This historic course has been the tournament site since 1984 and was designed by renowned course architect Peter Dye. Long hitters tend to dominate the course, so expect to see some fireworks this year when the tournament tees off.

This year’s tournament will be held from June 19th–25th and will be one of the PGA Tour’s elevated events. “Elevated events” are a group of 17 premier tournaments on the PGA Tour’s calendar. These events offer increased prize money and attract the very best talent in the sport, making this year’s Travelers Championship more significant than ever with more top-end golfers than usual. That’s saying something for a tournament that has been won by big names such as Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, and Bubba Watson.

As New England’s only PGA Tour event, the Travelers Championship is a huge spectacle that brings out a massive number of rowdy, excited fans. The fan experience at this event is excellent from start to finish, and visitors will find plenty to do and see, regardless of their interest in golf.

There is a huge fan zone at the Travelers Championship, with plenty of fun from holes one to 18. There will be everything from familyfriendly games and activities to prize giveaways from major sponsors, including Comcast, Mohegan Sun, and more. Golfers can try their hand at the Chip It for Charity area or head to the arcade, where

Skee-Ball and other games are available. And it wouldn’t be a fun golf event without some food and drinks; visitors can grab delicious meals and beverages throughout the area.

Tickets are available now, but prices vary according to the day and type of ticket purchased. Tickets to the grounds, where spectators enjoy access to certain viewing areas and public amenities, start at $64. Upgraded and more exclusive tickets come with additional perks, including complimentary meals and VIP access.
