2019
Congratulations to the Havre Public Schools’ 2019 Classified Employee of the Year Andrew “Andy” Bradshaw. Andy represents the non-teaching employees of the district involving clerical, maintenance, custodial, technology, school food service, para professional, nurse, and transportation workers. Andy’s employment area is in the Transportation Department as the Havre Public School Diesel Technician. Andy was introduced as the Classified Employee of the Year in the 2019 at the yearly Pride Celebration within the school district. He was announced with these kind words “He has brought new practices, bringing better efficiency into the workplace and has been receptive of ideas brought forth by others. He is always eager to pitch in outside of regular hours when bad weather or breakdowns occur. His values, attention to detail and reinforcement of best practices, all come together to make him a great asset to the transportation department. His time with the bus garage has made it run smoother, creating a better working environment for others.” Havre Public Schools’ had additional outstanding employees on the nomination list. They include Heidi Kinsella and Laurie Morse from the High School clerical department, Aaron Hanson at Robins from the technology department, Darla Welch from the Sunnyside paraprofessionals department and Bridget Lee from the Middle School food service department. Andy graduated from Havre High in 2010 and continued to pursue his education at MSU Northern graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Diesel Technology and a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Automotive Technology. He gained experience during college from working at Tilleman Motor Company as an Automotive Technician and a summer internship in Williston North Dakota for Haliburton. Out of college, Andy moved to Big Fork and worked for a small automotive shop then moved to Billings to work for Tractor and Equipment Company as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Technician. He learned a tremendous amount from the Billings company but decided to move back home when his wife received a position as a first grade teacher in Havre in 2015. His Havre Public Schools career started in November of 2015 as the Transportation Mechanic. Andy has been noted for his values and brilliance in the workplace for creating new ways to become more efficient and cost effective. His values can be seen in his everyday attitude in the workplace with his kind words towards our bus drivers, “They are some of the best people I have ever worked with.” In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Laura and his boys Benjamin and Owen who are 3 years and 7 months, respectively. His family is the greatest joy in his life and they are excited to spend their summers in their Beaver Creek cabin.
