FUNDRAISING 2014 Annual Fund God entrusted Heritage with more than $130,000 through the Annual Fund this year. The generosity of our donors allows us to accomplish projects and meet needs that otherwise would be very difficult. Here are just a few ways those funds were used. Executing a sound technology plan has been a priority for HCS for many years to insure that our faculty, staff, and students are working with upto-date hardware and software. This year, we were able to replace 11 faculty computers, 24 computers in the student computer lab, purchase a 4th grade classroom projection system and update our network security software. The pursuit of excellence can be an expensive task, one difficult to make affordable. The 2014 Annual Fund allowed us to set aside $25,000 to support those in need of tuition assistance. It is imperative that we continue to invest resources in making enrollment accessible to families in our community.

In May 2015, the entire Heritage class of 2011 graduated from local public high schools. Out of these ten students, two graduated as Valedictorians and one graduated as a Salutatorian.

Looking Forward: Worldview Matters, Phase II In 2015-2016 Heritage Christian School will be begin phase II of the current pilot project, Worldview Matters. The purpose of this program is to bring renewed, intentional meaning to the Christ-centered core of our mission at Heritage. The challenge that lays before us is to be more intentional in training our children to think like Christians in every capacity and send them out to be culture-changers. As our teachers delve further into this course during 20152016, we hope to see our faculty, staff and students make more relevant connections between the biblical worldview and everyday life.

Exemplary Accreditation As we commit to excellence in all things, we continue to look for higher standards to pursue. In 2014, Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) launched a level of accreditation titled Exemplary. The bar for this status is lofty and, in addition to standard accreditation benchmarks, is extremely rigorous in the areas of governance, finance, employment, and programming to further develop the spiritual formation of our children. This will be our pursuit over many years and will require strict discipline in all areas of program development. Please pray for us in this endeavor as we desire to be pleasing to God in the stewardship of His school.

Extracurricular Programs The extracurricular programs at Heritage are expanding and improving rapidly. The athletic teams are coached by volunteers that not only coach but also disciple the students. The Heritage Singers Choir, Music Appreciation classes and the Heritage Band thrive under the instruction of teachers that are passionate about music and above all, worshiping the Lord with our gifts. Art is taught at all grade levels and involves Art History and the practice of different mediums and techniques. Heritage Christian School is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International. www.hcs-nl.com facebook.com/HeritageNL twitter.com/HeritageNL
