COMMUNITY Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince Warner Brothers “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” brings out true wizard enthusiasts for a celebration of company clients and associates hosted by Colorado Home Realty and Bank of Commerce / Mortgage.
C olorado Home Realty (CHR) and the Bank of Commerce / Mortgage (BOCM) provided what can only be
characterized as an “evening among wizards and muggles” in honor of CHR and BOCM’s clients, sponsors and partners. Almost 600 clients, brokers, sponsors and their respective families filled the theater hall booked for the private screening. Armed with door prizes and raffle tickets for a variety of treasures, everyone in attendance became some of the first in the world to view the latest Harry Potter sequel. Guests were encouraged to attend in wizardry attire and many graced the theater in true Harry Potter dress. “Harry Potter” fans and “Harry Potter” novices enjoyed the latest sequel with much enthusiasm and of course anticipation as the movie came to an end…the next and final chapter of the Harry Potter saga will be released at a later date. This event was one small gesture of appreciation for CHR and BOCM clients and associates. For those who missed out this round, do look forward to more of such appreciation activities in the future. The CNN real estate expert takes a totally different route to get to the same conclusion. She looks at market fundamentals that must be present to create a healthy real estate market. The fundamentals include: (1) Job growth, (2) Growing population, (3) Good weather, (4) Plenty of first time buyers, (5) No overbuilding of new homes, (6) Vital downtown areas, (7) Well-educated populace and (8) Rates of foreclosures that have peaked and are heading down.

Forbes Magazine takes a technical approach to its evaluation. They analyze trends in price per square foot and in sales volume. They also look to make sure that sales are occurring uniformly throughout a metropolitan area as opposed to being concentrated in just a few hot spots. When they crunched all the numbers and plugged them into their formula, Denver came out “numero uno”. While the markets in most metropolitan areas are still searching for a bottom, Denver is one of the few places where Forbes thinks it makes sense to buy right now.
So the experts agree: It is time to buy and own real estate in Denver. It’s also a great time to buy if you are a first time buyer or have not owned a house in the last three years because you can get an $8,000 check from Uncle Sam (call me for details if you have not heard of this fantastic deal). And, of course, interest rates are very low right now and this benefits first time buyers and move-up buyers alike. And finally, if you are happy where you are, it is the perfect time to refinance and lock in a low, fixed interest rate and make your real estate investment even more secure.
