African Homestead
“Iconic Village African huts inspired this project in the view of the beautiful skyline that they create. Abstracting it for modern work in creating this museum is reiteration of the promise to keep the african spirit alive and express it in a much evocative manner using new materials and progressive technology

“Nature Inspired” from concept to concrete
Found on site is a common fruit that grows in a pod, the cherry seed pod. It grows commonly in uncultivated areas. • Growing in uncultivated and untouched soil, a sign of exploration into new areas. • Its bell shape provides different iterations and inspiration. • The act of protecting the fruit in the pod is synonymous to the function of the CASELAP building which is as a place for learned society commited to the promotion of environmental law and sustainable development. • The building will house Students and Researchers for a long time as they focus on the collaborative efforts on environmental law and policy.

“a new way to say welcome Hotel / Travel Centre / Exhibition Halls / Amphitheatre Fourth Year Studio / 2014 Lamu rd, mambrui town, malindi Kenya The design reflects an environmental response to the harsh climate in the area. The breeze is funneled to benefit both inhabitants indoors and pedestrians outdoors. Also what was interesting to solve the design were surface treatments to influence build up of heat. Hard surfaces increase heat build up, therefore materials that reflect heat or soft-scape can be beneficial in reducing heat build up.

Mixed Used Development within masterplaM
“Connecting the new city
masterplanning / mixed use development Fifth Year Studio / 2015 Landhies Rd, Eastlands, Nairobi City, Kenya The downtown Nairobi new masterplan will aspire to transform the low density sleeping part of town from a weekday market and residential area into a more vibrant and diverse mixed-use urban district that is a model of social, economic, and environmental sustainability for the next generation of Nairobi’s corporations, businesses, services, and residents. Being central to the masterplan, the project to be developed brings together on one site a shopping mall/Arcade, a 90-key 3-Star hotel, a shopping center, world-class, equipped offices for rental, a business club, Basement parking. To crown the mixed use development, the club house will respond the needs of affluent residents by providing facilities for banquets, a fitness center, spa, Atrium Floating swimming pool.
