Using also the Negative space as a part of display

Applying it on the contours when using lasercutting as fabrication meathod

Concept of Diamond Cutting Maximize the usage of the raw stone, in order to gain more profit.

maximize the usage of space

Competition: Environment protection(Environmental materials) Save reconrces Laser cutting: Can use environmental materials to cut Save material cuting Diamond Cutter: Save material cutting

Promotion to save resources: Chair:Start with what you can touch Public places/competition:Promotion

Red color:Sirens/Care Organic shape:Nature and sit well

Transparent:Can see the pet and easy to find leftovers Save:Save material and space

Paraphrase: Not enough space saving Waste material Does not cooperate with diamond cutting concept

J2

J1

Paraphrase: There are a certain degree of difficulty of fabracating the diamond parts The thickness of material afftect the fabracation of the folding structure If using material with neglectable thickness, the structure will be too weak to bear human weight Because it is too weak, we keep it with a glasses case We simulate the shape of diamond but fail to express the concept of diamond cutting

Paraphrase: Due to the 1:8 scale of the model, the thin parts would be much thinner than the normal size, so that it is too fragile, fabracated parts happened to be broken and damaged easily. So that we stick the damaged part together temporily with tapes.

Paraphrase: Here are some leftovers, we reflect on the diamond cutting concept, we should use material more effectively instead of left a lots of unused parts. Than we think about using the leftovers for the design.

Paraphrase: For various reasons we are not able to build the fabracated parts but joining them with chopsticks. Roughly expressing the outshape and relationships of different materials.
