A MODERN TWIST ON THE ORIGINAL DESIGN
The moto of our homeowner’s new kitchen design was “Keeping Life Simple!” The existing plan needed revamped to allow for more space in the dining area and better organization in the kitchen. We removed the drop down curved soffit between the kitchen and dinette and added wood floors to the great room creating a more spacious feel. In the process, we also redesigned the fireplace and warmed up the color palate adding a contemporary flair! w Showplace Cabinetry in a laminate gray textured flat-panel door created a sleek modern look for this kitchen! w Mountain Mist Silestone Quartz countertops complement the cabinetry color adding dimension and contrast to the open floorplan. w The backsplash adds a “WOW” statement using a decorative multi-colored stone accent installed both vertical and horizontal with a simplistic grey field tile. The TV was built-in with matching painted cabinetry and decorative tile, creating a nice focal point! w This kitchen not only looks GREAT, but is filled with many accessories making tasks easier and providing organization for the cook. w We “refreshed” the laundry room by adding cabinetry from the old kitchen with a built-in microwave and changed out the sink giving the room a new clean look.

Rather than move, the owners of this Vintage Heights home called in Willet Construction to turn their residence into their dream home. Out went the in-deck hot tub to make space for a dining room addition. A new deck with a roof extension was added. The deck, built with TimberTech decking and railing, is maintenance-free. The kitchen became expansive and now accommodates professional appliances and a large one-of-a-kind island. A stonefaced corner fireplace was added in the living room. The end result is a must-see mix of rustic, sleek and classic elements that perfectly reflect the delights and style aesthetic of the happy owners. • Showplace Wood Products cabinetry in white • A mix of porcelain, metal and glass backsplash tile • Beautiful, multi-width engineered wood flooring • Quartz countertops • French patio door onto new deck • James Hardie cement board siding on addition • TimberTech Terrain decking boards Let Willet Construction Remodeling Specialists’ team show you why our customers use us again and again. Corina and Bryce wanted to take what felt like a small closed-in kitchen with two doorways, a large window and soffits and create a kitchen that would be warm, comfortable and open to the dining area. We were able to show them detailed designs to help them visualize how we were going to be able to create the look they wanted and stay within a comfortable budget. By removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, taking cabinets all the way to the ceiling and creating a doorway to the hallway, we were able to get the desired feeling for the kitchen. Product highlights include: • Maple Kitchen Craft frameless cabinets • Laminate countertops with an under-mount sink • Armstrong Luxury vinyl tile flooring that is a very durable and functional flooring option Come see how we were able to transform this kitchen in one week to the warm and comfortable kitchen it is today.

ECLECTIC TWO TONED TOWNHOUSE KITCHEN
Scan with your smartphone for a map.
This former client loved her previously remodeled kitchen so much that when she moved she wanted to duplicate parts of the old kitchen into her new kitchen. Working to achieve an open feel to the kitchen yet wanting to hide the cooking center, a wall was added to the floorplan. A furniture bookcase adding additional storage and decorative open shelving accents the back side of the cooktop wall which faces into the dining area. This gives the owner a place to display many collectables and hang her needle point. w American Classic “RED” wall and bookcase cabinetry are contrasted with Espressostained cabinetry on the base and tall cabinets made by Custom Wood Products. Black crown moldings with a red dentil accent tie this Two Toned look all together! w Kitchen backsplash in 12” x 24” field tile with a mosaic of stone and glass was used on the sink wall to create an eye-catching accent to the cooking center. w Two seating areas were created, one for the couple to enjoy a light meal together that opens into the family room. The other is a single spot for the cook to sit at while deciding what to make for dinner or enjoying a cup of coffee. w The Laundry room was updated in similar colors complete with a cat feeding area, a bench with floating shelves for the homeowner’s antique collection and sliding barn door to close off the space.

A RETRO BLAST FROM THE PAST
Come enjoy this stylish “Blast from the Past” kitchen that is full of personality! The design challenge for this 1955 home was to keep the renovation in a classic 1950-1960’s retro look but integrate some of today’s modern conveniences. We installed new cabinetry and vinyl flooring in styles and patterns reflecting the kitchen’s splash of history! w Natural Birch Custom Wood Products Cabinetry with a Flat-panel door style complements the original woodwork in the home giving the kitchen a look from yesteryear. w A must see in the kitchen… All the cabinets on the sink wall have been installed on a slight curve, also reflected in the retro laminate countertop installation. An orange drum light hangs over the sink adding a splash of color! w Floating shelves make the perfect space for displaying vintage dishes and other collectibles. w The vinyl tile floor laid in an abstract design of gray, yellow and purple complements the fresh color of the yellow walls and the aqua glass backsplash, adding energy to the room!

TRADITIONAL LIVING AT ITS BEST
This home’s original dark and poorly lit kitchen was in need of a new look and proper lighting. Opening up the kitchen to the formal dining room and removing a railing between the dinette and family room added additional walk space and natural light. Both of these small changes and the addition of an island seating area helped to connect the spaces together for family gatherings and quickly defined the heart of the home! w Cabinetry with decorative, recessed-panel doors in Cherry wood surrounds the kitchen island which is painted in a soft cream color by Showplace Cabinetry. w Decorative paneling on the back of the island and the passage between the kitchen and dining room creates a nice Traditional touch and a visual impact. w Quartz countertops in two colors add to the contrasting element, while the perimeter backsplash ties in all the colors of the space. w This project also included a new front door, patio door, new draperies and carpeting in the family room, giving the first floor of this home a fresh new look to be enjoyed by all!

The Natural Light Company invites you to visit the home of Dennis and Beverly Swenson. The Swensons grew tired of having to continuously use artificial lighting to perform all their day to day activities. Their 55-year-old brick ranch home was in desperate need of a Natural Light makeover. After meeting with a Certified Daylighting Consultant, the Swensons decided to have four Solatube® Daylighting Systems (SDS’s) installed, one each in the living room, kitchen, dining room and basement stairway. The number one priority was the living room where both Mr. and Mrs. Swenson enjoy playing their beautiful Lowrey organ, as well as frequently entertaining their many friends and large family. The 14” SDS was positioned to maximize the usable light for the organ while still adding considerable additional light to the living area. The next priority was their beautiful, recently remodeled kitchen which required artificial lighting at all times of the day. This 14” SDS provided an abundance of soft natural lighting to all the countertops as well as the sink and stove. The kitchen was immediately transformed into a much brighter, more uplifting and pleasant space. Next, we placed a 14” SDS between the breakfast bar and the dining room table adding light to the kitchen while lighting the entire dining room table and spreading additional light into the living room. As we age, it is normal for our eyes to be one of the first things we notice changes in. Suddenly, we realize we need more light than we did when we were younger for our everyday activities. Last, but not least, we installed a 10” daylighting device above the stairs leading to the basement, where the office and master bedroom suite are located. The added light makes the frequently used stairs much safer while also making the entire basement a much more inviting area. The Swensons agreed that of all four of the SDS’s installed, this one provided the most dramatic improvement. Solatube® Daylighting Systems are one of the hottest home design products since the advent of the light bulb more than 100 years ago. They provide a quick, effective and affordable solution to naturally brighten any room of your home. Thank you for letting us brighten your day.

On this tour you will see a transformation done to the homeowner’s backyard living space. They were in serious need of a new deck above their existing sunroom and replacement of their existing railroad tie retaining wall, (come see the BEFORE pictures). They were planning a family reunion and wanted to use their deck and backyard to entertain their guests. The project involved placing a new rubber membrane roof over the existing sunroom and encapsulating the new deck floor joist in the rubber membrane as well. It features Genovations vinyl decking for the deck floor, skirt board and deck steps. The railing was constructed using Fairway Railing System, so minimal maintenance is needed for the entire deck. Both of these products were provided by ABC Supply Co. The retaining wall was constructed using Anchor Diamond retaining wall stones and steps from Reimers Kaufman Concrete Products Co. as well as the paver step landing. This outdoor space now enhances the value of the home and will last for many years to come. Bielenberg Builders, Inc. is a custom builder and remodeler. We care about our customers and their projects, as well as building value for our community. All of us at Bielenberg Builders, Inc. appreciate the opportunity to visit with you about a project you may have in mind!
