CoalCombustionProducts(CCPs)–oftenreferredtoas“coalash”and including“flyash”and“bottomash”–aresolidmaterialsproducedwhencoalis burnedtogenerateelectricity Thereare manygoodreasonswhythe12million tonnesofCCPsgeneratedannuallyand the~250milliontonnesinstorage shouldbeviewedasresources. BeneficiatingandutilisingCCPs conservesnaturalresources, saves energyandreducesassociatedcarbon emissionscontributingtowardsan efficientandsustainablecircular economy.
