Broadening Our Horizons Together The Tampa-Hillsborough County Public Library strives to be a multifaceted support for all of our neighbors. From the formative years to the golden years, the library has something for everyone, no matter what the need or curiosity. Reading and the acquisition of knowledge has the potential to lift our spirits, enhance our understanding, and guide our decisions. When, in an abundance of caution, we began developing virtual events and classes, one of the first things we sought to do was create an interactive environment. Right away we were connected though live Q&A, polls, and surveys. As librarians we want to provide easy access to expertise and rich content for you – but we also want to learn from you. When we see your questions and comments in a live session (HCPLC.org/events), catch your posts on social media (@TampaHillsLib), or read your library story (HCPLC.org/about/stories), we are that much the wiser. Our continued commitment to promote lifelong learning is just one of the many reasons why your library system was recognized as the Florida Library Association’s 2019 Library of the Year. The library will always be a place where new paths to learning are forged through innovation and our shared pursuit of community prosperity. This path is not always clear; but the unseen and the unknown are not only challenges to be tackled…they are also the next beautiful things that will inspire us!
~Matthew David, Manager of Library Learning Experiences
