Working from a chosen theme, the course will enable students to create a unique print, exploring colour, texture and mark-making.

Lighting for Portrait Photography


SHORT COURSES AT HULL SCHOOL OF ART & DESIGN Lighting for Portrait Photography The course will introduce you to lighting techniques for enhancing portraits in the studio and outdoors, predominantly based around flash photography with an introduction to continuous lighting systems. You will learn techniques to develop your image-making such as posing models, using correct lenses, creative camera control, lighting to emphasize or de-emphasize features and create specific styles. You will also develop your skills using up-to-date studio lighting and Mac software including Photoshop CS6 and Camera RAW. Students will need a digital SLR camera with manual controls (AV/TV/M) along with an intermediate knowledge in Photoshop.

SHORT COURSES AT HULL SCHOOL OF ART & DESIGN Issues in Art & Design: Presentation, Discussion & Debate This part-time course addresses issues in visual culture in relation to art, sculpture, film, photography and design.
