Why choose Goole College? Our part-time courses are designed to fit around students’ existing commitments, from short courses to day and evening study options. A part-time course could provide you with opportunities to improve your career prospects and earning potential, or even to develop an interest in a new career. Goole College is accredited with the national ‘Matrix’ quality kite mark for Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG). You can therefore expect to receive excellent customer service and impartial advice and guidance when choosing the best course for you. Support For Students Enrolment

Financial help

You can enrol at Goole College, Boothferry Road

If you are studying on a part-time course you may be eligible for help towards the costs of some courses from the Learner Support Fund or the 24+ Advanced Learning Loans Bursary Fund. The funds are means tested and early application is advised.

Enrolment Dates Enrol from Monday 8 June 9am-5pm Mon-Thu • 9am-4.30pm Fri You will also be able to enrol on Sat 29 Aug 10am-2pm if you have been unable to enrol during the summer. Look out for extended enrolment opening hours from w/c 31st Aug.

How do I enrol? We recommend you enrol at the earliest possible opportunity to secure a place on your preferred course. We have a team of people who are trained to provide you with the best information, advice and guidance to help you choose a course that meets your requirements. We offer various flexible payment options. Please ask when you enrol, we will be happy to advise you.

No Fees to Pay* You may not have to pay fees on funded Further Education courses if you fall into one of the following categories: You are between 19-23 years old studying up to and including a Level 2 qualification and have a maximum prior learning of a Level 1 You are between 19-23 years old studying a first full Level 2 qualification You are between 19-23 years old studying a first full Level 3 qualification You are between 19-23 years old studying a Level 4 (30 credits or more) and not attained a full Level 3 qualification You wish to study GCSE Maths/English and have not already achieved a Grade A-C in these subjects If you are aged 19+ studying up to and including a Level 2 course or aged 19-23 studying a Level 3 or 4 course and in receipt of a state benefit (the course you are enrolling on must be intended to help you obtain employment) *Subject to terms and conditions and residency


24+ Advanced Learning Loans

Study now, pay later A student loans system is available to help adults aged 24 and over pay for full and part-time courses at Level 3 and above. The 24+ Advanced Learning Loan is offered in the same way as student loans for degree students, with low interest and reasonable repayment terms. Repayment will only start once you have finished the qualification and are earning more than £21,000. If you are undertaking an Access to HE Diploma and then go to complete an HE qualification, the outstanding balance of your 24+ Advanced Learning Loan will be written off. To qualify for this write-off you must have fully completed both courses. The HE course does not have to relate to the Access to HE course you complete.

I have wanted to be a welder since I was young and I’m really enjoying the practical side of the course. I work full time but coming to College fits in perfectly around my schedule. I’m gaining all the experience I need to do the job well and hopefully I’ll be working as a full time welder very soon!

You may also request a copy of the Goole College Fee Policy 2015/2016. If a student or prospective student has outstanding fees from a previous course, enrolment will be refused. If a course is cancelled by the college prior to commencement, Goole College will use reasonable endeavours to offer a suitable alternative course. If a student does not wish to accept, or Goole College is not able to offer an alternative course, the student will be entitled to withdraw and may receive an appropriate refund. Where a student is unable to continue, refunds will be made only in exceptional circumstances and at the discretion of the College. All requests for refunds should be submitted in writing. Goole College shall not have any further liability.
