YOUTH SPRING & FALL SOCCER
Open to Boys and Girls, 6U-15U
Learn the game of soccer through practice and team competition. Teams will play 8-games in Spring and10-games in the Fall at Gordon Moore Park.

MICRO-SOCCER
Boys and Girls ages 3 - 5
A learn-to-play soccer program emphasizing basic skill development, group interaction and fun. We have Spring and Fall sessions. Spring session will meet on Sunday afternoons for 4 weeks in April/May and Fall Session will meet on Sunday afternoons for 4 weeks in September/October. Players must wear shin guards and tennis shoes (no cleats) and bring a #3 soccer ball.
FEE: $25
RIVERBEND BASEBALL/SOFTBALL LEAGUE
League schedules usually begin on the 2nd Saturday in May with 10 games and a postseason tournament in July. Home games will be played at Gordon Moore Park with additional games held at Glazebrook Park and the Jerseyville Sports Complex. All T-Ball and Pitching Machine games are at Gordon Moore Park, only. Early bird (11/14/22-2/24/23) Regular (2/25/23-3/31/23)
SUMMER DAY CAMP
BOYS AND GIRLS COMPLETING GRADES K-5
There will be 8 weeks of Summer fun in June and July. Sessions will be from 9:00 a.m.12:00 p.m., Monday – Friday, at Gordon Moore Park to enjoy games, sports, arts and crafts, and other special activities. Weekly field trips to the Alton Splash Pad, bowling, etc., will be scheduled throughout camp.
FEE: $35.00/per session
YOUTH RECREATIONAL BASKETBALL LEAGUE
Boys and Girls in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th grades
Learn the fundamentals of basketball through practice and team competition. The league will play on evenings during the week. Practices will start in early January. Games will be played in late January through mid-March.
FEES: $45.00-$50.00

JUNIOR TENNIS CLINICS
Group lessons. Learn the game through fun, instruction, drills, and games. There are five 1-week sessions, 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday), 1 hour per day.

Golf League
SENIOR SCRAMBLE (ages 50+)
Held every Wednesday (April through October) at Rock Spring Golf Course. Individuals sign up and are placed on 4-man teams. Accumulate points towards “Senior Golfer of the Year” competition. $5.00 for skins. Check the hotline 325-0035 for updates.
DISC GOLF
The18-hole disc golf course has been redesigned in the formerly unusable terrain at Rock Spring Park. The first tee is adjacent to the large parking lot in the upper half of the park.

Hours of Operation: Monday – Friday, 10:00am-5:00pm
Private Rentals: You can reserve the Splash Pad for a private rental from 6-8pm, up to 100 people.
Private Rental Prices:
Residents – $150
Non-residents – $200
Birthday Party Rental: You can reserve our designated birthday party area, up to 20 people (during normal operating hours). The rental fee includes small hot dogs, chips, and drinks for up to 20 people. Renters will get a reserved area, including 4 picnic tables.
Birthday Party Rental Price: $100
NEW – SOCCER MINI-PITCH
Installed at Rock Spring Park in 2022 thanks to the efforts of Damian Jones and SALT. Open play from day light until 10pm.

FISHING CLASSES
The Illinois Department of Natural Resources holds fishing classes at Gordon Moore Park Lake. These classes teach hook baiting, casting, pole rigging, and differences in fishing for different types of fish. To register contact IDNR directly. Dates: TBD
ALTON DOG PARK
East end of Russell Commons Park, east of Alton Riverfront Park, & south of River Heritage Parkway-Illinois Route 143-Berm Highway
The fee is $25 annually for up to three dogs for Alton residents; $35 for non-residents Day pass is $5.
Owners must bring proof of up-to-date vaccinations and proof of spay or neuter for all dogs.
Dogs that are not spayed or neutered are not allowed in the dog park.
Passes can be purchased at City Hall, the Alton Marina, or the Parks and Recreation office.
