So many things have happened to the HBM world ever since the first issue was released in January. I am delighted as to the participation to the Male Model of the Year Competition and our first two Finalists Matteo and Guka. You will get to see how sexy they are in their own dedicated little double page spread further down in the issue. In the meantime, and because apparently we are not busy enough at Heartbeat publishing 2 magazines, we have lauched the Locker Room. For those of you who are not aware of it, The Locker Room is a fabulous discounted store for men where selected designers place one or two items for sale at a preferential rate. We are aware that itâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s not that easy for the men, they do not get pampered like us girls do! Thus in the spirit of justice the Locker Room was born! I want

to take the opportunity to thank of our participating designers. YOU ROCK! As far as this issue is concered, you will get to see that it is slightly more adult oriented. Th team was put hard at work testing sex beds, sex skyboxes and sex tanks?! (donâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t ask!) I am not sure if I should think that this issue of HBM is a sexfest or if I am going to have a small staff revolution on my hands. But then, who would complain when having to have fun and orgasms for work? Also I am so delighted to tell you about our latest addition to the team: Kymmie. trust me when I tell you that all Hail to Kymmie, as she will be sizzling us with a story every issue that will either make you wanna get on yout closes naughty prop, jump your partner or like me the nearest cold shower, just to cool down a little. A Love Sha If there is one product that can excite the drab home market in SL this would be LoveShack by the noted reBourne designs. Previewed in an auction last October, this build doesnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t only live up to the reputation of its creator, Danny Bourne, as among the premium quality houses now available in Second Life. Skybox in its design, the LoveShack is breathtaking in more ways than one. Within this marvelous cube is a three-level habitation that, as in other reBourne opus, defuses a claustrophobic enclosure with a stunning city skyline for its backdrop.

Cozy in its mid-size layout, owners of this charming residence are assured of privacy as its set-up can be accessed with pinpoint accuracy only with a direct slurl. The branding of this outstanding design, LoveShack, is a giveaway to the amenities that are inside which can truly steal not a few breaths for those privileged with its ownership. At its loft is the bedroom overlooking the living room and kitchen, while a bit lower still downstairs are two more areas, the bathroom and a sauna all having textures capturing a realism so rarely paralleled by other designers.

Platform for Wondrous Privacy All the privacy that this skybox offers provides an excellent platform for the furnishings that can be bundled in separate choices with the LoveShack’s full version. With little prodding, anybody will surely enjoy, as this deadline beater did, having a test run of such marvelous furniture creations that were likewise from the prolific drawing board of Danny. Nursing a bit of a party hangover, my friend and I (who shall best remain anonymous for her privacy’s sake, obviously not mine ☺) were lucky enough to preview some of LoveShack’s amorous offerings. Logically, all should have started in a sampling of the shower, or the Jacuzzi vaunted to be among the skybox’s paraphernalia of intimacies. But as the loose threads of our flowing Neko baggies threaten to clog the drain, the first stop of our dry run was the home’s luxurious sofa. And purr we did with little urging, as this menu-driven contraption of desires and

passions led our avis more than willing to go from cuddling and kissing to more torrid embraces and varying heights of intimate encounters. Note-taking even to the most avid of reporters became practically useless with merely the “Ohs” and “MMs” that I manage to gather for some opinion on each and every pose shift. Nervous on missing out on a story, we saunter off to the bed after a short hop to the loft’s stairs. The menu of the fourposter love nest with retractable, transparent curtains was even more astounding. The various choices for lovers of different lifestyle preferences are all there for the choosing. As a conventional couple, my partner and I choose to partake of a series, from foreplay up to several interesting variations purveyed by the Kamasutra discipline. To say that this Loveshack bed can enable the wondrous trek of an engaged tandem to dizzying heights of ecstasy would be an understatement. The reBourne design’s trademark of strict prim alignment so marvelously extends to the per-

fect meeting of two sultry avis captured by the pink and blue balls’ outstanding animations scripted on the bed. And she excitedly agrees with coos that her lover’s hand perfectly lands on the G-spot and his attachment has become a per-

fect rivet to her willing avi, yearning for more of the same. That remark certainly is one succinct comment that can wrap up one’s field reporting and turn to dig in to the more, umm, pressing matters ☺.

When a friend handed me a business card with a name scribbled on it and casually said, “That’s a friend of mine that works for some clothing line. You should meet him.” I was unaware of where this would take me, but was moved by my friend’s offer of a possible lead for this article. I placed a call to the name on the card, Ramses Meredith. After having my call transferred around, and speaking to several people, a deep masculine voice came on the line and introduced himself as Ramses. I explained to Mr. Meredith who I was, and how I would like to interview him for HBM. “Would you like to meet me?” asked the voice on the line. “Of course!,” I eagerly replied, and he gave me an address of where to go. The address led me to Egoisme. I took a moment to roam the vast store. I admired the sleek, dark and rich interior. I remembered being here once before. I stopped to appreciate each design, loving each one for different reasons. Colors and patterns jumped out at me. Jeans

were detailed like nothing I’d seen before. Tattoos, each a work of art and I wanted to wear them all… all at once! I loved his newly released design so much, I bought it. Changing in the dressing room, I looked myself over in the large dressing room mirror and stepped out. Standing there, waiting for me, was an employee named Mirhana, who asked me to follow her. She led me to the higher executive floors of the massive building, and I quickly started thinking that maybe Ramses wasn’t just “some guy” who worked for “some clothing line”. As I entered through the massive chrome doors opened by Mirhana, I walked into a room with extremely high ceilings. Most of the room’s interior was decorated with chrome and glass, polished to spotless perfection. Opposite of the door, a vast window takes up the entire wall, which showcases a breathtaking view of the city below. Mirhana gestures towards the center of the room. “He’s over there”, she informs me. My eyes follow where she points and rests

on a massive glass desk. Sitting at the desk, illuminated from behind, is a handsome man with raven dark hair and skin smooth as silk. He’s writing something down, so he doesn’t look up at us. I take this opportunity to admire the desk and then my eyes travel to the name plate on it. Ramses Meredith, Chief Executive Officer, confirming that this wasn’t just “some guy” at all. My back straightens up at the realization of the presence I was in. I approached the desk cautiously, feeling like Dorothy when finally meeting the Wizard of Oz. “Hello Mr. Meredith. I’m Jee Crazyboi.” He keeps his face down still writing. I frown thinking that maybe my voice didn’t carry in the massive room. I open my mouth to speak again, and he begins to speak. "You don't know Egoisme, do you?", he asks, face still down tending to his writing. "No, not really. I've only visited once before", I reply. "And before today, you had never heard of me, had you?", he asks. "No", I reply, still looking at the top of his head. "And you have no style or sense of fashion", Ramses con-

tinues. "Well I think that's depends on...", I say as I frown, self consciously looking over my outfit. Say what? I’m wearing one of his outfits. Doesn’t he know who I am? I’m a fashion editor! Did he just try to...? Wait a minute. Isn't this a scene from one my favorite movies? As I look back up to give him a piece of my mind, I hear Ramses chuckling. Looking back at me is his grinning face. “Gotcha!” He laughs loudly, throwing his head back and slapping his hands on the desk. “You should have seen your face!", he chuckles, pointing at me, his light eyes glistening with laugh tears. I begin to laugh at his sense of humor. Ramses straightens his black fur collared jacket as he stands and extends his hand with a board smile. I shake his hand, taking notice that his clothes were tailored to perfection, and designed by him, of course. “Come. Let’s have a seat and chat”, he invites and leads me over to long glass conference table to one side of his office. Ramses takes a seat at the head of the table, as I take the seat to his right.

Firstly, I know that you and your entire staff are busy, especially with gearing up to Men’s Fashion Week this month. So, thank you from myself and the entire staff at HBM for taking the time out to meet with me. We’re all excited about having Egoisme as part of this issue. Ramses Meredith: You’re welcome. I’ve left my staff to do their work, and finally I can relax a moment. How long has it been since Egoisme opened? Ramses Meredith: Well, Egoisme was only tattoos for 2 years, but I started to make clothes and skins about a year ago. What made you venture out into other categories aside from tattoos? Ramses Meredith: I am eclectic. I love to change, to try things and experiment. I was curious to apply some techniques I used on my tattoos, in different ways. I started to “play” with clothes, adding some prims to make them more realistic. First steps were with role play

clothing and, only a few months ago, the modern clothing. Is there something that inspires you to design? Is there a muse behind Egoisme? Ramses Meredith: Hmmm no, I am inspired by the moment. One day I want a cloth with fur, another day I want to make a skin in a “bad boy style”. I create what I like. I love creating the whole thing from zero. In fact, I rarely use the same texture or the same sculpt. So your textures and sculpts are always fresh, that’s incredible! Tell me about Fashion week, and what we have to look forward to seeing from Egoisme? Ramses Meredith: Well, we will present our latest production, skins and clothes. Actually, our production is increasing. We want to grow more, and soon we will start the women’s wear line. We have several partnerships going. Tigereye, producer of role play clothes, we worked with designs that will be sold under its label. Midnight Lotus, where we made some tattoos, and now we have an

agreement with Faces Studios. Faces Studios is a producer of excellent skins. Together, with Faces Studio, we’re going to come out with a new line of skins with a new concept and a new technology. We have recently formed an alliance with House of Rfyre to create clothes for our two houses, and with Apez, we will provide technology services very soon. That’s amazing to see so many groups come together like that. What advice would you give other designers starting out? Ramses Meredith: To not be worried about big brands. We are all humans. Everybody can become important, and also Egoisme is still looking for partnerships or new employees and designers to hire. I suggest to be modest. To not think you’ll become a star in 2 days, there is a lot to learn and the best way to learn is to collaborate with a big brand. Collaboration. Is that what you think attributes to the success of Egoisme? Ramses Meredith: Egoisme is a family. We all have the common dream to see

the Egoisme brand move forward and become successful; we’re not looking for personal advantages. And, of course, I am a slaver. (laughs) A Slaver? Are you a slave to your work, or are you a slave driver and command peoples hard work? Ramses Meredith: I command people work hard. I work hard, too. These days, I am working like 14 to 16 hours per day, in order to study new techniques and find proper textures and sculpties. Also, I have to manage with advertising, clothing and skin designs. While I’m doing all that, then I expect other people to work hard too, because it is not me, it is the brand that needs to grow. We employ over 15 people at Egoisme. Designers show me lot of new creations. I refuse and eliminate a lot. What people see in the store is only what we think is the best. Wow! That sounds like a really busy work life. Let’s get personal. What do you do on your down time? You have down time right?

Ramses Meredith: Well, yes. SOMETIMES I have down time. I love to spend my time with my boyfriend and my close friends. Many times, I spend my time helping people. Sometimes, somebody may need help for an event, or maybe need sponsorships and I help them. Egoisme has an amazing humanitarian outlook. Youâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;re involved in charities, fundraisers, economy boosting... tell us more about that. Ramses Meredith: This month we are in Fashion For Life SL to help in the war against cancer. We are going to do other similar events. We like to see people happy. It is why, when we participate in hunts, we give huge gifts. Everyone has the right to wear something new and good. We are not looking for economy boosts. Also, when we buy Apez, we will be able to help those who have debts or owe credits. This helps a lot of people, especially small merchants. We like to think it is our little contribution to help the economy. Also, we are planning to cre-

ate a less expensive line for people who can’t afford our prices. Tell us about when you were starting out. What was the first thing you designed, and have you ever gone back and looked at it as your skills improved? Ramses Meredith: Oh, that is comic! I still sell my first tattoos in the store. I like to see them there, but I know I have to stop selling them now that they are too old. My first tattoos were made for role play, and I still look at them. I look at each work I create. I look for errors I can fix. Where I can make something better, how I can enhance details. Tell us something about yourself that others would be surprised to know. Ramses Meredith: Hmmm! That’s a nice question. Well, I don’t like to be a “guest star”. I hate to show myself and be the center of attention. This is the first reason my brand is not directly related to me. In fact, I enjoy the many times people IM me asking if I work for Egoisme. You have to know I love to tease and to

joke, so you can guess how much I tease these people. (laughs) I can imagine. I’m still feeling the sting of our introduction prank. So you’re a prankster? Ramses Meredith blinking innocently: Me???? I am only a happy man, and I follow our old publicity motto. Do u remember it? Think positive... think EGOISME! What’s your personal style? Do you always wear your label, or is there a designer you have as your favorite? Ramses Meredith: Oh no, I don’t wear only my label. I love to change my look, and I am not able to design 10,000 outfits at the same time. I like Straps and Leather Industry. I love to wear leather. Sooner or later I’ll make a leather outfit, hehe. So you’re a leather guy. Describe the type of man who wears Egoisme? Ramses Meredith: Egoisme is the French word for Selfishness. It is a line for the man that knows what he wants. Strong soul, dominant, the man that nev-

er needs to ask (winks). The motto is “be unique, be egoisme” - hehe. As you can see I don’t make things in many colors or similar products. Well, that is the way couture clothing is. Limited and unique. Ramses Meredith: Also the way I am. (laughs) If I design something in black, I can’t make it in pink. Ok, I may sell less with less options, but who cares. I don’t ruin my good taste just for the sake of sales. What if I want one of your outfits in pink? Ramses Meredith: Eeeh, I would send you to go... pink yourself! LOL! Sometimes I’ll do custom work if I can handle them, and it keeps with the brand, but rarely do I modify what I have made. Good to know. But I was joking, I don’t want it in pink. Ramses Meredith: Well, now I’ve made it in pink, and you have to wear it for 3 years.

“Three years!! Wear the same outfit for three years? You might as well kill me!! Although wearing the same outfit for three years would cut back my clothing expenses. Let me think about this,” I say as I stand up and shake his hand. Ramses face smiling. “I hope that wasn’t too painful!” I joke. “I enjoyed it!” He replies. I smile, bid my goodbyes and Mirhana appears to lead me out. As she leads me towards the elevator banks, I think to myself that I better get my friend a good “thank you” present. Once back on ground level, I continue to shop for his gift at Egoisme. As Men’s Fashion Week approaches, fashion editors and followers of Egoisme are anxiously looking to the runways to see what Ramses has in store for us and where he will lead us next. Everyone at HBM wishes Ramses Meredith and his entire staff luck and continued success. Lucky for me, at time of press, no pink outfits have been delivered to me from Egoisme.

When someone has the talent and the vision to create a garment, they are a fashion designers. When a fashion designer has the added skill of a mathematical business man, they are a force to be reckoned with. Prynce Llewellyn, the designer behind the Subversion brand, is just that - designing everything from tailored tweed business suits to kinky leather and chain gear. Being in his store is like exploring the closet of a successful executive who likes wearing leather under his office clothes. His talent for picking out textures and colors is remarkable, but why he makes his color selections is most impressive and business savvy. Since

all of the colors chosen coordinate with each other, every outfit is interchangeable with anything else in the store. R eview: Jex aquelineâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s E dition Sex Bed We can be happy that Second Life puts forth great designers, builders and scripters. Also artists, djs and many other great people. I especially the builders and scriptors, I admire. They can bring so much happiness and joy to people. The product, I want to talk about brought my girlfriend and I a lot of happy hours, pleasure and fun. It is worth sharing it with you and maybe you will like it as much as we do. Red is my favourite colour, so I was even more happy to try the merits and tools of this Bed from JB Ego Style and the great builder Jaqueline Beaumont. I have been in Second Life a couple for of years now, and I tried some Sex beds. I can tell you, this one is a really fantastic and enjoyable version.

The menu is easy to understand, we have different options. You can enjoy it with your partner, but also you can enjoy it with your friends. Up to 4 people can use this bed at the same time. Furthermore you have different possibilities on this menu. You maybe want to have a cuddle, but even there you have different options. Also in all your dreams of different sex kinks are so easy to enjoy with this bed. Something, I'm always impressed by, is the fact, that the bed also rezzes tools. For example a stool for bending over, or a gag for your special evening, where you want to try something new.
