Community Center Recently, the City of Los Angeles and Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA), have forged a precedent setting partnership to renovate and expand Lafayette Park. When the expansion and renovations are completed in late Spring 2010, the community will benefit from a field turf soccer field, stateof-the-art gymnasium, wireless computer lab, classrooms and community meeting rooms, as well as HOLA’s existing art studios, fine arts library, dance studio, digital media center and education learning center. The partnership will provide supplemental recreation and enrichment programming to develop the physical, social, and emotional well being of the entire community. While Lafayette Community Center is under construction, park programming will be limited and held at nearby locations, inclucing MacArthur Park and Heart of Los Angeles.
