This type of elder abuse may include a caregiver or family member not providing appropriate nourishment, shelter, clothing, medication or medical attention, and assistance with basic necessities.
What are the signs and symptoms of elder abuse?
Commonly recognized types of elder abuse include physical, psychological and financial. Often, more than one type Elder abuse and neglect can be very difficult to notice. K 9 Compassionate Care was Created when we seen the difference a K9 can make in those that are sick or elderly. When a service Dog Comes up to them , & makes there Day Far better this brings us one step closer to joy and our mission. Overseen by Rev Jerry L Williams Trooper’s owner is Angela Kessy. Trooper is a golden retriever who is the dog who does much of the work. Trooper is 6 years old and he has the gift of knowing when others are down, sick depressed & sometimes he knows when someone may be leaving us. Trooper is a well trained dog. Once you put that vest on he knows it is time for work & is eager to do so. Trooper’s duties are emergency visits to hospitals. Trooper also goes to nursing homes on Thursday’s & Friday’s where he greets everyone at the Heart to Heart Bible study. When the Pastor Prays Trooper knows when to jump up & pray with the Pastor. He also sits there through the study & goes to greet everyone when he comes & goes. A lot of time those who are terminally ill’s family will call the K9 team & he will just sit there to comfort that person. Sometimes he visits first responder's as well. Troopers hobbies are running, toys watching TV and being with those he loves. Trooper is one of a kind. We also have Dexter who is three years old.
