Lace Up for parkrun
GET READY Cooloola Coast because parkrun is coming to Tin Can Bay! Parkrun is a FREE community event where you can walk, jog, run, volunteer at, or spectate the 5k course that takes place every Saturday morning. Parkrun is a positive, welcoming and inclusive experience where there is no time limit and no one finishes last.
Set your alarm clocks early on Saturday 29 July parkrun will be launched at 7am at Wes Mitchell Park, Tin Can Bay. The parkrun will start in the park and run along the foreshore pathway up to the Crab Creek Boat Ramp and then return.

Expression Of Interest – OSHC Employment
The Rainbow Beach Primary P&C Association is looking to open an Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) program this year and we are looking for an expression of Interest from people looking to work in this sector.
About the positions available:
We are looking for carers for our OSHC program which will run before and after school, Mon day – Friday and Vacation Care during the school holidays.
The positions available will include:
Coordinator
• Refine and implement a dynamic and engaging program of activities for children in line with the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place Framework.
• Coordinate and lead a team of educators, providing guidance and support in the delivery of the program.
• Financial and CCS management
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Build positive relationships with parents, families, and the community.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance records, incident reports, and other administrati ve tasks as required, and prepare reports as needed.
• Foster a positive and inclusive culture across all aspects of the program
• Qualifications - Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma in Child Care or equivalent - First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training (Training available through P&C)
- Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
Educators/Carers
• Work with the coordinator in delivering a stimulating and engaging care program
• Deliver program in compliance with Policies and Procedures
• Aid the Coordinator id delivering a care program that encompasses the National Quality Framework
• Build positive relationship with children and families
• Work around your study schedules or get some work life balance
• Qualifications - Diploma or Cert III in Child Care (or working towards) - First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis training (Training available through P&C)
- Valid Working with Children Check (Blue C ard)

Prior to each event a First Timers Welcome is held at 6.50am for anyone new to parkrun.
For those that are new to parkrun you can register to get a personalised barcode so that each week you will be sent an email with your time from the event. To register for your barcode go to www.parkrun.com.au/register
To warm up for the launch, there will be a couple of trial events on Sunday 9 July and again on Sunday 16 July at 7am from Wes Mitchell Park. Everyone is welcome to participate in these trial events so that you can get a taste of what parkrun is.

Community, industry and business consultation has shown strong support to expand the ban of singleuse plastics.
Think about it. Why would you make something that you’re going to use for a few minutes out of a material that’s basically going to last forever, and you’re just going to throw it away. What’s up with that?
