THE POP-UP SHOP
Tom Douglas aims to to the best for his employees, and his newest project, Tom Douglas & Company, is no different. This traveling, semi-permanent “food truck” hosts chefs from the various Tom Douglas restaurants for a week at a time, and allows them to express themselves while spreading knowledge of the brand.
The materials of the seasonal restaurant reflect the Seattle environment. The shipping crate and its color are derived from the port and the cranes that are found there, the galvanized metal from the Seattle’s urban industrial areas, and the wood from the wooded mountains found to the east of the city.
