HOSPITALITY FLORENCE, ITALY
2' - 6"
The premise of this project was to design a luxury boutique hotel in an existing building in Florence, Italy. Part of the challenge was to leave two historical cafes in the building untouched, but also fit in a reception and lobby, a media area, and a wellness center. Renderings were created with Photoshop post-processing.

RESIDENTIAL FLORENCE, ITALY
The premise of this project was to design a luxury apartment in an existing building in Florence, Italy. The palette of this apartment was inspired by the bold classicism of Botticelli’s Birth of Venus painting, while simultaneously blending it with a more contemporary flair. The apartment features a kitchen, living room, and separated dining room, along with a master suite, and an additional bedroom and bathroom. There is also a guest suite which can be closed off from the rest of the apartment for privacy. Renderings were done using elevation views from Revit and Photoshop.

COMMERCIAL TOKYO, JAPAN
The task was to design an office in a global location, to be built five years into the future. This project was done under the guidance of Interior Architects and was modeled to be for one of their clients in the technical industry. Several weeks were devoted to understanding the project’s location in Japan. The inspiration for this project was taken from the streets of Tokyo, Japan. Small shrines and bits of traditional architecture can be found tucked in between rows and rows of skyscrapers. As Tokyo has grown and taken on more westernized ideas of architecture, the city still holds on to its roots by leaving carved out areas for Japan’s history in the midst of high-rise buildings and contemporary facades. Reflection on this idea brought forth the following words: juxtapose, enveloping, surround, integration.

RETAIL FLORENCE, ITALY
The goal of this project was to create a new retail space within Mercato Nuovo in Florence, Italy. The Mercato Nuovo originally functioned as a covered marketplace to protect merchants and their goods from the elements. In this re-design, the Mercato Nuovo will be used for selling handmade leather goods--a product that Florence is known for. This design of this shop was inspired by the Fleur de Lis, the symbol of Florence. I sought to pay homage to the history of the marketplace and of Florence, while using a more streamline, minimal, and generally modern aesthetic to appeal to tourists.

COMMUNITY GARDEN FLORENCE, ITALY
This project was a small, week-long design challenge to find a way to repurpose wood pallets and wine crates so that they could be used in the Orti Dipinti Community Garden in Florence, Italy. My solution was a mobile herbdrying rack with planter boxes.
