living room with her mom and dogs, celebrating the release of her debut single, the transcendent tune Lay Low. Now, having garnered over
105,000 streams and counting on her inaugural anthem, Ava Maybee prepares to release her next single, See Me Now. The song, set to
drop on February 19, the singer-songwriter’s birthday, tells the relatable narrative of a breakup, all the while offering an invigorating message of
female empowerment, and encouraging one’s emergence into a brighter light. As made evident by Ava Maybee’s passion for the cathartic
nature of music, as well as her various philanthropic pursuits, she is no stranger to such light, and the world awaits with eager anticipation as she begins to shed it on us all.
Her passion for music is inherent and irrepressible. At just two years
old, Ava Maybee’s grandfather regularly treated her to impromptu in-car performances of Andrea Bocelli - sophisticated material for someone boasting only two revolutions around the sun. Since those regular
vehicular concerts, her passion for music and performing continued to grow, eventually leading her to sing the national anthem at two lakers
games and a dodgers game. She honed her craft at various acclaimed musical camps and institutions, and also committed her time singing at philanthropic events. But it was not until a global pandemic that a
quarantine-condemned Ava Maybee decided to fully pursue music as a career. “I believe when you have something you are so passionate
about, there is no way to not want to do it everyday” says Ava Maybee. “I wake up every day write songs and strive to be a better musician.”
This commitment to improvement and devotion to her music as a career poses a unique challenge: Ava Maybee, a college student at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, already juggles a social life on top of a demanding academic one. “It was definitely
difficult balancing everything,” she affirms, “my biggest inspiration would be my papa and my mom. They have always supported me in pursuing music and I am so grateful for them. They are the most amazing role models.”
Ava Maybee, influenced by a dynamic amalgamation of artists and genres, from Jimi Hendrix (her all time favorite) to Robert Plant,
ultimately cites every music genre as a critical influence to her songs. “I feel that every person is a product of their influences,” she states, 32
“and I hope that my wide range of music tastes are reflected in the
music I put out.” Still, her identity as a musician cannot
influence her. When asked about her greatest inspiration,
Ava Maybee dropped its corresponding music video,

Ava Maybee gushed, saying, “my biggest inspiration would
be my grandpa and my mom. They have always supported me in pursuing music and I’m so grateful for them. They are the most amazing role models.”
This vast range of musical and personal paragons has
conspired synergistically to produce the magnetic wonder that is Ava Maybee: a young artist with thoughts to share
and the capacity to present them in a palatable and alluring manner. Her sound, which she describes as “funky, indie, and soulful with a bit of sass,” captivates listeners, built
on engaging, conversational lyrics and energizing, edgy melodies. Her vocals, rich, bold, and unique in tone,
contribute to an enticing journey for the ears and soul. Delightfully, Ava Maybee connects a few dots for us,
remarking, “I think the way I describe my music would also be the way I describe myself!”
Approximately two months after releasing Lay Low,
complete with aesthetically thrilling visions of neon lights and eyeshadow. The video, which went live on Nylon
Magazine, shows a group of friends prioritizing a fun night together over the sometimes consuming and actionable
pursuit of superficial validation. The free-spirited joy and
connection pulsing throughout the video is explained only by the fact that Ava Maybee starred in it alongside her
real life friends. “One of my closest friends Marley Sall
and I came up with the concept,” she says, “and then the amazing Bianca Nicdao helped our vision come to life.
Having a female director was so important and inspiring
for me.” Ava Maybee was overcome with gratitude to have her video premiere on Nylon Magazine and receive such immediate exposure. “I was floored,” she says. “I am so
lucky that people have responded positively to my music. I feel so giddy inside. I just love music. And I love how it makes people feel.”

her passions in the films she grew up watching, with “My Best Friend’s Wedding” and “Titanic” being at the forefront of her growing ambition to become an actor.
While her grandfather may have helped nurture GG’s love for acting, it was her grandmother that truly gave her the most impactful advice of her life.
“I am enough! I’ve gotten that piece of advice from multiple
people, but the one person that comes to mind when I think about that phrase is my grandma.”
On portraying the role of Cheryl, Townsend had this to say,
“Cheryl was very hands-on through this entire process. She
was half of the bosses that quarterbacked this whole project. My character, Cheryl, was and still is, an amazing woman.” Salt-N-Papa has a storyline that will resonate with viewers about the unbreakable bonds of “great friendship and
girls going from young women to mothers and the trials
and tribulations that they went through as individuals and
business partners.” Townson admitted that what drew her
to the story the most was the bond between the characters
and how they deal with life’s tribulations together as a team. “What drew me to the story was simply their story and how open and honest they were in sharing everything from the good, the bad, and the ugly.”
The audition process for this film was carefully crafted and

“What I mean by that is the relationships that were built
because of this project. The times we went on group outings, the times we had dinners together, the nights we all watched movies and TV shows together, or even going to the mall created a family dynamic while we were in Toronto.”
GG Townson is hopeful for the future and wants young
aspiring artists to know “You are enough! Don’t ever make
choices against your integrity for the sake of what you think will be worth it because it is never worth it. Sometimes the
road of honesty and integrity takes you longer to get to the
destination, but you will always be able to say you did it with
pure intentions and didn’t have to compromise you along the way.”
With a long career in the acting world, GG hopes to continue to grow as an artist and to be able to tell truthful impactful,
and heartfelt stories for future generations. “I’m focused on expanding my craft and my body of work and becoming a
working actor.” She hopes to portray characters that “speak to the audiences, play roles that invoke emotion, bring
awareness, and raise questions and start dialogues within households. Impactful roles.”
GG is glad to see new faces on the screen and more diversity “One thing that I did have my issue with at one time within the entertainment industry was the lack of new faces. However, I think that is starting to shift, and I am seeing more new

Akira has always had a passion for acting. But it was not until she first arrived on a film set that she experienced
clarity about her intentions for her future career. “Being

away a little bit from everyone.” The humility suggested by this constant willingness and desire to learn is apparent
in the gratitude Akbar expresses for the opportunities she
has had over the years. She elects to credit her family and their support as pivotal contributors to her success, rather than attributing the phenomenon of her stardom solely
to herself. “It’s super crazy that I’m doing all of this stuff
being the age that I am,” Akbar remarks. “It’s definitely a
blessing to have all these opportunities. I’m super grateful for everyone, especially my family. They support me in everything that I do, and I appreciate them so much!”

Limitless: Meet the Bell Twins by: Sydnie Cutler
Australian natives, Elijah and Isaac Bell are the example of a dynamic duo who continue to break barriers within the entertainment industry. Their brotherly bond, creative eye and acquisitive taste allowed them to establish their name in the modeling world. Now, the 24-yearolds are making a name for themselves within the film industry. Before, perusing the entertainment industry, the Bell twins spent their early years perusing basketball. “Putting the hoop life down was tragic, but it all worked out in its best favor,” Elijah said. It was during their senior year of high school when the twins found their true calling. After watching their childhood friend appear on ‘Ghost Whisperer’, they felt a sudden urge to pursue acting as well. “He looked like he was having the time of his life on that show,” Elijah Bell said, “So, my brother and I went and found an acting school.” The identical twins have been chasing the dreams ever since and have fallen in love with the pure joy that acting brings them. The Bell twins have since landed major rolls and just released the Disney Plus Original series, ‘Safety’. The film is about a freshman football player, Ray-Ray McElrathbey, who played for Clemson University, who secretly raised his younger brother on campus after his home life became too unsteady. “It was a dream come true working on a Disney set.” Isaac Bell Said, “Also, being able to live the college athlete life for just a little, working under one of the most respected and talented directors in Hollywood, Reggie Hudlin, was the ultimate learning tool and master class for any actor, just being able to pick his brain and watch him work every day was amazing.” Working with Walt Disney Studios was a great foundation for future endeavors within the film industry. Elijah and Isaac both have hopes of working alongside Denzel Washington, Julia Roberts, Zendaya, and Michael B Jordan someday. “In five to ten years, I see myself as being one of the greatest actors and fashion icons ever,” Isaac said, “I wrote in a journal that in five years I would see myself walking across the Oscars stage winning best actor the same night as my twin brother, which has never been before.” Isaac foresees them winning Oscar awards on the same night back-to-back for best leading actor and best supporting actor in a film. “The best advice I would give to upcoming artist is to know who you are and always stay 136
positive,” Elijah Bell said, “If you have a goal, GO GET IT. If you fall down seven times you get back up eight and you keep moving forward. Without consistency you’ll never start but with-out commitment you’ll never finish” The talented twins are surrounded by a great support system. Elijah and Isaac give credit to their brilliant acting coach, Max Decker, and their very supportive and loving parents, who never doubted them along their journey. The supportive nature that surrounds them is replicated in the relationship that the Bell twins have for each other, it’s a rare treasure to see. It’s not every day that we witness two twins having the same vision for their life. “Working with my twin is absolutely amazing our chemistry alone just makes work so much easier,” Isaac said. “We are always pushing each other to our best potential, we are each other’s biggest critics. Our relationship is a bond that can’t ever be broken!” Maybe it’s their twin telepathy, but Elijah and Isaac have a creative connection with out the conflict of competitiveness, which they consider to be their super-power. Even their self-analysis exemplify how alike they truly are. Elijah describes his style as unique, flavorful, and outgoing and Isaac describes his style as vintage, loud and unique. When they’re not working, these two are pretty casual. “I love to sit back and watch Harry Potter and lay with my dog Brutus. Best enjoyment ever!” Elijah said. Isaac, too, enjoys watching Harry Potter and Peter Pan with his mates, as well as playing a good game of chess. Currently, the twins are focusing on producing and acting in their friend’s independent film. They are very excited about working on the production side of the business. There’s nothing out of reach for the Bell twins, they are limitless. “DREAM BIG, never let anyone ever tell you that you can’t do something because everything in life is possible if you believe it is,” Isaac Bell said, “MANIFEST your life. There’s this saying that my favorite actor and inspiration said that I’ve always stuck by, ‘Without commitment you’ll never start but more importantly with-out consistency you’ll never finish.’ Continue to strive and I’m speaking out for the people of color like me the world is yours if you make it yours.” We can’t see wait to see what the Bell twins will ring in for 2021.
