Outcomes
Successfully serving the rapidly growing demographic of adults ages 55+, as they move through the stages of aging. This group is looking for opportunities to explore new interests and hobbies, in addition to finding ways to connect with others in their communities as they enter retirement. Some also face individual challenges related to their health, transportation and finances that can impact their ability to take classes.
We found that 98% of participants indicate that they would recommend Community Education Adult Learning classes to others. Ongoing and newly added partnerships with area businesses continue to result in a variety of course offerings. Adding additional daytime programming has increased opportunities for retirees.
Many businesses are now offering their own classes. Our challenge is to present and market our classes in unique ways and to find opportunities to collaborate with local instructors and businesses when possible.
