CAYMAN 4 2 M FA S T D I S P L AC E M E N T
It is no coincidence that many of the best shipyards in the world are found in Holland. Our passion for yacht building and commitment to quality is unrivalled. Heesen yachts are renowned for their innovative engineering and exceptional speed, range, stability and comfort. We build them entirely in-house out of the hardest steel and the strongest aluminium. And that is what makes us the world’s leading builder of high-performance yachts.

CAYMAN Following in-depth market research, the 42 metres / 138 feet Cayman project is Heesen’s response to widespread demand for a shallow draft, fast displacement full aluminium motoryacht arranged over three full decks. She offers the extra volume and comfort of a tri-decker in a design package of less than 400GT. Cayman has a modest draft of around 2.15 metres / 7 feet 1 inch, ideal for safe and comfortable cruising in the Bahamas but also anywhere else in the world.

SLEEK & STYLISH Thanks to her sleek Fast Displacement Hull Form, two powerful MTU engines and her lightweight aluminium construction, Cayman will be able to achieve a top speed of 22.5 knots. The contemporaryclassic exterior styling by Omega Architects breaks new ground with bold, angular planes complimented by Heesen’s ‘pelican’ bow trademark. Stylish cutaways in the side bulwarks allow abundant light to penetrate the interior, while full-height, wrap-around glass windows on both main and upper decks ensure superb sea views.

SPACIOUS BEACH CLUB By stowing the tenders and toys on the foredeck, space has been freed up on the lower deck aft for a genuine beach club — an unusual feature on a yacht of this size. Unlike other yachts in her class, Cayman further offers a sky lounge on the bridge deck with access to a spacious aft deck.

VOLUME & COMFORT Shaded dining is provided on the expansive sundeck, along with the customary loungers and Jacuzzi for sun worshippers. The guest accommodation compromises four double suites on the lower deck and a full-beam master suite on the forward main deck.

RELAXED AMBIENCE MAIN SALOON I The open-plan main saloon comprises two distinct zones: a conservatory-style lounge overlooking the aft deck through the sliding glass doors, and the formal dining room. The two areas are discreetly separated by low storage cabinets decorated with striated facades. The interior design proposal by Hot Lab in Milan is described as ‘Exotic Modern’ and based on light wood veneers with natural tones and textures for a casually relaxed ambience. Of course, owners are able to customise the interior design on request to suit their own tastes.

ELEGANT DINING DINING ROOM
I A full complement of 10 guests can be seated around the octagonal dining
table with its inlaid mosaic of coconut tiles. The dining room is served by the adjacent pantry and galley. Despite her compact size, the crew circulation aboard Cayman is completely independent of the guest areas to ensure efficient but discreet service.

BRIGHT AND BREEZY MAIN SALOON MATERIALS I Lati Soho wood brushed opaque and pale oak wood veneers are punctuated with soft cotton furnishings of rich ochre and bright turquoise that add to the fresh and breezy ambience. The loose furniture with upholstery of woven cord webbing recalls the casual dĂŠcor of a seaside veranda, blurring the distinction between interior and exterior.

NATURAL SENSATION OWNER’S STATEROOM I The full-beam master suite with private study is located on the main deck forward. Instead of traditional carpeting, the interior designers have selected a soft hemp textile for a natural sensation underfoot.

OPEN-AIR OWNER’S BATHROOM I The owner’s bathroom is inspired by the open-air bathrooms. Marble has been used sparingly throughout the interior, but adds a refined touch to the bathroom sole. Two free-standing ‘totem’ washbasins are backed by a curved wall panel of the same textured resin as in the master suite. The result is a gloriously uncluttered space that chimes perfectly with the ‘Exotic Modern’ theme.
