CRAZY ME 50M SEMI-DISPLACEMENT
BEYOND BELIEF A yacht is a beautiful way to expand your horizons in luxurious comfort. But when that yacht is a Heesen, it can be so much more. Only a Heesen yacht can take you to the destinations of your dreams by pushing the boundaries of quality, performance and design and offering the high level of luxury service you are accustomed to in your daily life. Voyage to the next level without compromise.
Beyond innovative engineering and the know-how of Heesen’s most experienced specialists, 50 metre Crazy Me took courage. Never before had an Owner requested such a radical design. It was his bold decision that gave Heesen the opportunity to build the extraordinary. Quite simply, there is nothing else like her at sea.
CRAZY ME
CUTTING EDGE DESIGN Avant-garde and provocatively different, Crazy Me is the quintessence of custom building capability at Heesen. Her design is so unusual that the question wasn’t why build a yacht like this, but why not? Achieving the unusual is where our expertise is unmatched. At Heesen, we believe there is no such thing as mission impossible – Crazy Me is proof.
BEACH CLUB At anchor, Crazy Me opens up so guests can make the most of the sea with a fold-down swim platform and an additional side terrace just off the spa – perfect for a quick dip after relaxing in the heat of the sauna or steam roo
The penned design took incredible ingenuity to become reality. Just one example is the seamless, 30 metre stretch of glass on her lower deck. As designed, it defies regulations, lacking the obligatory aluminium shutters. Matching unconventional thinking to the unconventional design, Heesen Yachts pushed technology forward by building carbon foils into the glass – making the windows strong enough to meet regulations without the need for shutters.
A boldly sculpted exterior gives Crazy Me an aura of mystery. While her straight-from-thefuture design leaves onlookers with questions about her interior, her styling is an explicit function of the Owner’s desire to maintain a very high degree of privacy.
“With a sleek, and almost simplistic exterior, Crazy Me is a very sophisticated yacht that incorporates the maximum technology and engineering.” Exterior designer, Gary Grant
SWIM PLATFORM
At anchor, Crazy Me opens up so guests can make the most of the sea with a fold-down swim platform and an additional side terrace just off the spa – perfect for a quick dip after relaxing in the heat of the sauna or steam room.
ENJOY THE OUTDOOR The sun deck on Crazy Me is designed to serve one purpose – fun. The pool is fully fitted: spa jets provide enough current to challenge even the most practiced front crawl, a shallow liedown platform provides the perfect spot to relax and a cascading waterfall blurs swimmers from outside view. Â
“Sun rays stream through the water to the main deck. The light is refracted – you feel the connection between the sun and water when you are sitting there.” Interior designer, Cristiano Gatto
SUN DECK
SUN DECK
When the Owner specified the requirement for an audiovisual system second to none, Heesen Yachts worked with specialists to create a completely bespoke solution. While advanced technology is totally integrated throughout the yacht, the sun deck transforms into a professional standard, fully customised nightclub with speakers built into the bulwarks. The pool converts into a dancefloor, while custom lighting, a bar and DJ booth complete the scene.
INTERIOR The open plan main saloon and dining area is an extraordinary space. Enormous windows continue their arc into the ceiling, giving the impression of being inside a giant cocoon. Sliding glass doors open onto the deck where privacy is maintained by high bulwarks with tinted glass sections.
MAIN SALOON
“The brief was very clear: simple, linear and modern design where the sense of space had to prevail with respect to décor.” Interior designer, Cristiano Gatto Design
MAIN SALOON
MAIN STAIRCASE The jewel of this yacht is the main staircase. Ambient lighting, precise glasswork and polished steel come together to create an eye-catching feature. A skylight at the top illuminates the floors below while the bamboo stairs are lit from within to add yet another dimension.
THREE DECKS
From the outset, the Owner decided to include three decks within the same height of a four deck yacht. High ceilings bring a enhanced sense of space, particularly in the main saloon and sky lounge. To make the most of every centimetre, walls and windows curve to follow the superstructure in an exceptional feat of engineering. These windows had to be produced in moulds and built up in layers of glass – an exceptionally precise process that could only be implemented once the superstructure was finished to ensure that the joins were seamless. The result is an interior of startling originality. It is not just the exterior of Crazy Me that looks different – the interior is a totally original concept as well.
SKY LOUNGE
SKY LOUNGE
Another special feature is the hydraulic bulwarks on either side of the sky lounge. A section of her superstructure slides outward then aft to complement the floor-to-ceiling windows so that guests can relax and enjoy uninterrupted infinity views.
The spacious full-beam master suite is located on the main deck. Warm, natural tones and large windows make this an airy and elegant space. A private dressing room opens onto an equally large en suite where the Pietra dorata sandstone enriches the surroundings with its golden hues.
MASTER SUITE
Bamboo is the only type of wood used in Crazy Me’s interior with the exception of kauri wood found in the en suites. Imported from New Zealand, this exotic wood not only has a beautiful finish but also a unique texture, making it a natural anti-slip surface.
The forward full-beam VIP suite reflects the Owner’s priority of quality above quantity in onboard spaces. The en-suite is nearly as large as the cabin and could have instead made another guest room. Yet another surprising feature aboard Crazy Me is the glass partition between these two spaces which becomes opaque at the touch of a button.
VIP SUITE
Small details make a big difference. The guest cabins on Crazy Me have the same special touches to the en suites as the master and VIP suites: beautifully built in raw marble and glass with extra large shower rooms.
GUEST SUITE
State-of-the-art equipment extends throughout the yacht, from the advanced control systems on the bridge to the fully-fitted galley on the main deck. Every aspect has been designed with the advice of professionals – captains, chefs, engineers and crew. After all, a perfect layout lends itself to perfect servic e.

NOT JUST A YACHT BUILDER
We are not just yacht builders; we are also dream builders. We owe it to our customers to exceed their expectations and to do so we push our boundaries every day without compromise. Our commitment to quality, along with customer service, mean our owners are able to enjoy the perfect yachting experience. This is the way it has always been, ever since Frans Heesen founded the company in 1978 and we first began creating yachts beyond belief.
WHERE SHALL WE MEET?
Overcoming challenges has always driven our spirit of innovation. Not as a goal in itself, but as a fundamental part of our main focus: making your yacht dreams come true beyond anything you imagined possible before meeting our team. We can discuss your yacht at our shipyard in Oss, at our local offices in Russia, Africa, South East Asia and United Arab Emirates, or anywhere else in the world. Our philosophy has evolved over 35 years and the experience we have accrued is unlike any other yacht builder in the world and allows us to build in steel and aluminium to enormously demanding tolerances. Heesen Yachts is recognised as the world leader in aluminium yacht building and a master of steel construction. Our current range includes aluminium and steel, displacement, semi-displacement and the revolutionary Fast Displacement Hull Form. All are designed, engineered and built by master craftsmen in the nine sheds and five dry docks at our shipyard in Oss, where we create yachts that are simply beyond belief.
