THE EXPERIMENT Scientist have experimentally proven that food immediately becomes dirty as soon as it hits the ground, and microorganisms wait no time. If you drop a bun in water, it gets wet right away, if you drop into mud, it’S instantly covered in mud. Why would it happen otherwise when it comes to dirt? In fact, we want to believe that food can be recovered. The Five Second window is a sacral time while you process the loss and make a decisions whether you leave it to its doom. The five second rule thus exist and does not exist at the same time. It’s merely the product of the imagination, a transition between being and non-being, and a slot where you can intervene according to your beliefs. But those who consider consuming food from the groun will not be left to themselves, because IRMA5SCECOND the patron saint of fallen bites/morsels, will appear before teh hesitant, support them in their belief and transfigure their spoiled snacks. The question is: How can artists and the sacral activists help in the middle of the food crisis?

5 Second Rule The five-second rule, sometimes known as the three-second rule, is a food hygiene myth that states a defined time window where it is safe to pick up food (or sometimes cutlery) after it has been dropped and thus exposed to contamination. RELIGION & FREE WILL Sacred Activism

EMBODIMENT - concept Our contemporary saint caracter; “Irma5Second” was designed during the project of “CAPAZINE, Let’s EAT!” This was exhibited at first time in the Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center in 2021. We started to work together in 2020 at this group exhibition and zine project. Our main goal was to design new and contamporary saint or patron caracter for protect the fallen morsels/ bites. As a result, we have built up our character IRMA5Second who is primarily responsible for the pieces of our collective memory, the dropped last bites, and, in a broader context; the food waste. We examined the possibilities of the effects of a contemporary, street saint, during which we worked in the integrated field of fine arts, media and sacred mechanisms. Either as the power of a saints activity is not limited to churches, nor a contemporary art is only visible in the gallery, so we have arranged street altars in shop windows too for the public expansivity. On the one hand, the CAPAZINE, LET’S EAT group exhibition provided an opportunity to present our sacred character, but it was not suitable for presenting the entire project. We would like to use this resdency to continue experimenting in the common area of expanding sacred spaces and effects and contemporary media and tools. The project titled EMBODIMENT is continuation of our experiment of projecting photographs and printing them on different materials (such as stickers, tortillas, rice noodles, textiles, etc.), interpreting the areas between “apparition” and reality. What does the concept of apparition mean in practice? The subject of the exhibition is the visualisation of various embodiments and tasks of the protector/saint (saint of fallen morsels) which according to our plans summed up in an altar installation. The exhibition space, as an architectural (church) “ship,” leads the viewer to the multimedia altar. This structure of the altar is based on Baroque style and modeled on traditional street food altars discovered during the our common work. Our aim is, among other things, to map the excesses of art and sacredness, examples of which we both find in our own oeuvre, whether to use the color / brilliance of gold or the theme of reproduction/ multiplication. We want to use the expansivity of this theme in the gallery space and out of it: The strong presence, the multimedia altar itself, in the gallery space but addition to which we also plan to create street altars and sticker actions outside. The construction of the IRMA5Second character was an artistic process based on dialogue of two artist. The joint work during the quarantine took place on the messenger, so this dialogue a continuous exchange of messages - a continuous exchange of messages - can be interpreted as a sacred drama, a contemporary problem, and a document of the realization of a work of art. We would like to publish a printed/paper based fanzine and an audio casette as accompanying publications to the exhibition.
