__________________________________________________ Diploma: Master Course title: European Master in Mediation Course description: The European Master is a post-graduate program that pursues the following goals: • to promote the reflection, in a European context, on the role of mediation, • facing contemporary changes concerning social ties and social regulation, • to privilege an interdisciplinary approach to mediation, • to develop research on mediation in a European context. The Training program permits the participants to acquire additional knowledge in the area of mediation and conflict management at the beginning of their university or professional careers with the introduction of concepts, approaches and experiences of the interveners and participants from all of Europe. Those two years are equivalent to a minimum of 120 credits ECTS (European Credits Transfert System). Those two years are organised as following : Ø1st year in the Universities, which are our partners (60 credits minimum) or in other Universities or Institutions, which have a training in mediation (the scientific Board will determine the trainings that are considered equivalent). Ø2nd year at the IUKB (60 credits) during 15 months, including the residential meetings, the internships and the dissertation. A tutor will help each student during this training, especially in his/her work for the dissertation. The organisation of the classes at the IUKB will enable the students to keep their job while studying : • 180 hours of residential meetings (4 groupings of 5 days and 3 days of evaluation, 20 credits ECTS) • 60 hours of national and international trainings, 4 credits ECTS • 40 hours of conferences or seminaries attending, 3 credits ECTS • Long distance work with the tutor or expert, 3 credits ECTS • Work for the dissertation, 25 credits ECTS • Personal work, 5 credits ECTS Languages: French or English
