on how to handle soft pastels, obtain detail with Conte pastels and to keep the highlights. On the final week we enjoyed painting pottery bowls and jugs which Jayne, a local ceramic artist, had made for us on the potters wheel. Our Christmas dinner at The Squash was excellent and enjoyed by everyone. Let’s hope for a good year ahead and maybe come and join us at St Oswald’s Parish Hall in Knott End where you will be welcomed.

A happy, healthy New Year to everyone. Thanks very much for all your support. Special thanks to the Puddled Duck, Katie and all the staff, for the excellent food and venue. Also, many thanks to the Harmony and Health Choir for entertaining us so well. Thanks to everyone for their support at the Christmas Luncheon- £433.60 was raised. Congratulations and very well done to Michelle, the landlady of the Grapes at St Michaels, for raising the fantastic amount of £2,411.75 from her sponsored sky dive in October.
