Articles in Focus Magazine in previous years have invited grant applications from local charities and the trustees have made a further thirty awards last year to local charities in the Pilling and surrounding areas. Applications for grants are invited now, therefore, from Pilling, Knott End, Stalmine, Preesall, Hambleton and surrounding areas, from local charitable groups. Previous applicants will be considered and applicants do not need to be registered charities as long as their objectives are of a charitable nature. Grants will generally be between £500 and £1,000, though larger sums may be awarded in suitable cases.
