We are hoping to support the plein air competition on Sat 3rd Sept, but otherwise it is a quiet month. So if you’re looking for some musical fun, have a look at our website and give me a call. author. Our second book ‘Blackberry Wine’ by Joanne Harris had a similar response - you either like her books or not. There was some discussion of her later works as some members felt that they lacked the quality of the earlier books and were not as good. Next month we are going to focus on biography, the suggested book is ‘Toast’ by Nigel Slater or any other biography that you’d like to share. The other recommended book is ‘Hamnet’ by Maggie O’Farrell, which is fiction based on fact and is the story of the short life of Shakespeare’s son. The next meeting is on Tues 13th Sept.
